Understood! I like smaller more svelte straights in the same way I enjoy heavier yet compact safety razors. For example, I was one of the first purchasers of the Oren AC razor from Classic Shaving, a razor out esteemed Clint loves, but I always found it to be too bulky and clumsy, so I sold it. I understand that people like to shave with axes and post 8/8 width shave hatchet razors. I have no interest in moving in that direction. My issue with the Riga is that although the blade width and honed edge hits my sweet spot, I have other smaller vintage 7/8 razors that don’t feel clumsy and bulky in hand. I’m planning on acquiring a new artisan 6/8-7/8 width SanMai Damascus razor in the next month or two. It won’t be oversized. At my point in life, one year away from three quarters of a century, I have no interest in accommodation, but rather seek what I know I enjoy! Ben has a Sprecher, a Riga , an Artrazor, and a Sparks, all oversized. He enjoys shaving with them now and then, although he has the Sprecher up for sail on Worthpoint. Just not for me! :)

You’re shaving with my kid sister’s birth year razor ;). Great shave, Andrew! Enjoy your day!

Great shave, Maestro! Although I wouldn’t, you should probably stick with that drying soap, or as I’m sure you’re aware from your post, the Chief Shennanigator will be on you like white on rice!

Oh gotcha, so you don't have the mentholated vintage soap but are adding something. Yes I have the 444 cream that is mentholated I could use or I have some WS powder which is a synthetic cooling agent so that's the route I was going to go to join you.
