Tuesday's Shave

2+ passes with the Super Speed provided a comfortable shave although with less than usual efficiency this morning. It was still overall in the DFS+ territory, but I could have used 1 more pass. Most important for me, the corners of my mouth and under the nostrils were still in the BBS territory. I used the suribachi bowl to make the lather and it did a fine job once again. Careful "to-and-fro" painting strokes were utilized to apply the lather with the Simpson and no hairs were lost today.

 

That's a fine shave, Andrew! Again, that is a good looking brush!

January Rule Shave # 8

The Gillette SC easily mowed down three days of growth in one pass. I added another pass and touch ups just for fun and ended up with a very comfortable near BBS shave. Everything in my kit flat out worked, there was no gross operator error, and I'm smooth and smelly.

We have sunshine and temps in the 40s, so we're heading outside to be with friends. Enjoy your day. Grace and Peace.

Have i ever considered doing a straight razor shave?..Short answer, No. I honour straight razor shavers, I consider it a great unique art....what puts me off is not the honing & learning curve, the main issue is, i know in my mind i would never be able to feel relaxed & comfortable using a straight, like i do with my DE and SE razors.
