Have a fire about 7 miles from my house. It's moving away from me and I'm not in any danger, but it's coming dangerously close to homes. Until the wind shifted about 15 minutes ago, we were getting ash in the air. Praying for those in the path and the firefighters. Those who pray, I'd appreciate you joining me.

When my son is UP TO NO GOOD I've been known to bring out daddy drill-instructor and demand "What is your major malfunction?!" and "Only two things come from Texas! Steers and more cows! And you ain't got no horns boy!" (the last one really confused him.)

mmmm. bacon makes everything better. wish I'd had some bacon today when I saw how much taxes are going to cost me. over $2K when I add both state, federal, and the quarterly payment for April.
