    I had the same mindset as you presently have concerning straight shaving. I thought any nonprofessional who used a straight was flirting with disfigurement and was nuts. I started straight shaving in Oct 2018 at the ripe old age of 63. Based on my personal testimony, I would say that you may change your mind. If you do, then beware because straights are the great seducers of the shaving world. One more thing, I will only encourage someone who truly wants to try straights. With tbat said, I believe it's a shaver's personal decision to use whatever razor they desire in order to get the best shave possible.

    Great SS/Simpson shave with a classic kit, Andrew! If my kid sister shaved with vintage Gillette’s, your safety razor would be her birth year razor, Andrew. great shave! :cool:

    Great shave, Charlie. Why in heck would you place that vile soap concoction you shave with in a “Philly” :shocked003:container, whatever the heck that is! And I believe you meant to say “well-scented” as opposed to smelly! :taunt002:

    I have, but must admit I really liked him in the Wilburys. He’ terrific in their song, “Handle with Care”. He passed two months after making “The Traveling Wilburys” V3. :cool:
