thank you Paul. I always try to respond to quoted posts as well,just good manners,I know folks are busy sometimes,but when i worked 60+ hours a week i still made an effort,even if they were short responses.I feel that if they made the effort,so should I..I genuinely like talking to folks here..if nobody talks,what's the point of a forum..

A very nice shave earlier this morning. The days are rolling by with this R41 clone. You do have to be on your toes with it, but it will play nice. A great, creamy Fine lather in what used to be their signature scent. I prefer all of their other dupes that I have, fwiw, but this is pleasant enough. The Rapira SS blade did fine and the results were very good again. One more day with this combo tomorrow and then I'll move onto another razor, methinks.
2nd day in a row that my aftershave choice solicited a response from one of my kids. My daughter walked into the kitchen and pronounced. "What smells, Dad? Did you have a bowl of butt for breakfast (alliteration intended, I'm sure...). I responded quickly and succinctly with "I'm sorry, I didn't hear you, I was too busy online spending your inheritance". The teenage years will be fun, for sure.

That is a very interesting notion, Dave, that the polishing on a razor could affect its aggressiveness. I guess I've never had two of the same razor that had different finishes to think about it.
I like both he Astra SPs and Wizamets you referenced. You are right, the Wizamets are sharp, but man the Astras are smooth blades.

Quite an ironic song choice for sure, Jeff! @Bama Samurai often does the same thing with his daily Bryan Adams medley and lets his mind wander, unfortunately, during 'Cuts like a Knife'...
Anyway, love the look of that Le Coq, such an original looking design. Very cool!

Very nice, Clint. I'll be interested to see, once you are turning handles, which of your current brushes will see their knots replanted in your own work. Is the Evo going to stay housed in its original state?
