    Thanks, Jeff. I tried Dave's idea to test the soap's malleability. It easily compressed flat. I'll do that for a new puck once I secure a wooden bowl w/ lid. Then, no more brush to glass clanking. ;) First world problem...

    the cap on a new series?.red brass,has higher copper content than the baseplate etc..many of these razors were like that..yellow brass has 65% copper ,red brass 85% approx..
