    Lovely shave, Maestro! I would respectfully disagree with your statement regarding the aggressiveness of the R41. You can’t pierce your cheek with an R41. You can with a straight. I know because I did it to myself 6 yrs ago with a straight, and I also shave with the same model of R41 as you, right down to the handle. :cool:

    $45 vegetable cleaver, high carbon steel holds a great edge. Don’t leave it wet or hit bone. The saya costs more tan the knife. I’ll always have one.
