Fougère Friday! Promised @Edison Carter I'd revisit this combination to check on the menthol in my example of the WK LFP after shave. This set was a BST purchase from 2019. Menthol is listed in the ingredients....I do get a very pleasant menthol cool feel immediately after using this after shave. Fades very quickly though, within 4-5 minutes. I gotta point out that it's very different than the menthol I get from Proraso's Green formula (which is like a Vick's Vaporub sensation), or the feeling from Zingari Man's 'The Socialite', which is very intense, face feel leans towards a cooling 'burn' sensation, and lingers for hours(!), maybe it's a skin reaction also. The feeling from the La Fougère Parfaite is very cooling, almost in sync or in addition to a typical isopropyl alcohol cooling sensation (evaporative).

@MrEE's handle with the Simpson T2 is a lathering machine. One of the best lathers I remember from the Wholly Kaw tallow base. Super rich and thick, peaky bowl overflowing fun. 2 non eventful passes with the Blackland Tradere loaded with a Gillette Nacette. The Tradere OC is a near perfect safety razor for me, in that I can perform (and did) an ATG pass as the first pass, completely and with zero irritation or bloodshed. This includes the ever sensitive area of my right under jawbone neck transition where the growth is very flat, and angles up. Most safety razors I have to do the ATG stroke on that area as a last pass, with light buffing. One thing I do notice compared to either a Monobilt or a Barbasol Floating Head, is that the Blackland Tradere OC has a narrower sweet spot for blade engagement. Ended with a nice BBS- result. Didn't use a balm today, wanted to feel the WK after shave entirely on it's own for an accurate assessment of the menthol. To my nose, the La Fougère Parfaite is a very good clone of the Idelle Labs Brut that is currently offered, although with more sillage, as I'm still getting whiffs of the AS 4 hours now after my morning routine. Wifey approved, yeah!
