That is what I need to do indeed, Mr. Cawtuh....cut down on the pressure. I probably do repeat strokes, but maybe 4-5 times. That's an interesting point though...cut down on that too(the number).

 

Well..a much better shave this morning than yesterday's S.Porcupine Alley horror. I made sure that there would be a good amount of Barbasol all over-especially S. Porcupine. It was suggested yesterday that I skip that area altogether until I felt it was safe to shave it again, but it healed nicely yesterday so I thought I'd just do it. A slower, softer approach there, and all around as well. Some repetitive strokes needed to make sure NW and NE Porcupine were taken care of, but again soft and slow. Per the advice from Mr. Cawtuh, I need to watch those repetitions. I thought I did well down at Cactus, but should have done better across the jawline. No cuts no Knicks. Bill Neumann "Signature 1907 "A.S. for the finish. After yesterday, it was good to get back with Bill Neumann-the liquid is pure skin food. I'm going to be modest here and say Most Excellent.

Wow, that is a significant gap difference. Hope you figure it out. It would be ashame for it to be relegated to a draw. Perhaps you can sell it or PIF if you choose.

Well the Tabac should be here in the mail this afternoon. It has been in South Carolina at West Coast Shaving the past few days, went to go check the stat. this morning and apparently it had left South Carolina in the early hours of the morning and got to my local post office around 7 AM this morning. {Edit} the Gillette Fat Boy is out for Delivery YAYYYYYYY {another edit} the brut special reserve is out for delivery as well.

Lol I've been up since 5 AM. I didn't fully wake up till till about 8 ish when I had my morning coffee, I can most certainly assure you, I would have not been safe enough to drive then.

Small Batch Shave Tonic “Winter Reserve”

After reading Blair's review of WSP Mahogany I just had to pull it out and give it a go. As Blair said the soap does have a sweet almost vanilla note over a woody spicy base. Even my wife commented positively on the scent during the shave. The Thäter synthetic brush is not one of my favorites. I didn't realize the handle would be unfinished wood and I find it harder to splay than my CH2 synthetic. Even so, the brush did a wonderful job loading and lathering the WSP Mahogany. Three passes and touch ups caught the baby with ease. The razor is so light that I find myself adding pressure to get the results. Good thing I don't have a problem with irritation. A splash of Small Batch Shave Tonic "Winter Reserve" and I am to visit my Mom today. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.
