Razor: Valet C1 auto-strop, Canadian Variant- MFG 1920's, original gap .011" and changed it .007" to mellow it out. I really liked this change I did a couple of years ago and enjoy this shave. Todays blades are possibly sharper than yrs that have gone by?
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE (2)modified, excellent blade, very sharp and smooths out nicely over uses, great longevity.
Soap: Speick- mild spicy scent with great lather qualities, post shave feel average.
Brush: Yaqi Chianti's 24mm knot, excellent lather creator with heavenly like soft tips, nice back bone for a gentle scrub and great lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock American barber with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BbS + no irritation + no weepers = [IMG] Excellent shave with my C1 Valet Auto-strop + a Gem modified coated blade.

    2021-01-23, Saturday

It is already Saturday: tempus fugit gambibus levatis!

And the inevitability of the Gregorian calendar sanctions that tomorrow will be Sunday!
Knowing the future instills a sense of omnipotence, doesn't it?
And there are those who know how to exploit this incontrovertibility in a very creative way...

But there are those who, like me, suffer it supinely.

I slept like a log and woke up in a gray, very wintry light.

I turned on the radio and listened to a song by what I am sure was Zucchero dueting with a woman's voice, unmistakably black, beautiful, hoarse, sweet and aggressive at the same time, which reminded me of another duet, much older, but just as fascinating, by Ray Charles in Hit the Road Jack with Margie Hendricks: an unmistakably black, beautiful, hoarse, sweet and aggressive at the same time. Very charming...

As for today's hair removal, I was driven to the choice of soap in search of truth by different feelings: curiosity, desire to experiment, to challenge an opinion that I have been carrying around for years...

And I used an American soap, not as famous as those frequently discussed here, but an almost unknown one, but with an exceptional fragrance.

And the adventurer that for 99.9% sleeps inside me woke up. And he won the tussle!

Applying a much larger amount than the other times, but not exaggerated, just adequate, rubbing it into my face like a stick and lathering it with a brush that has now almost doubled the price paid when it was given to me as a Christmas present a few years ago, offered a smooth, protective and very, very fragrant shave.

The once vituperated blade, paired with a razor that can't give bad results, proved to be excellent and I could now (if only I wanted to) exhibit a shave that I can define FBBS.

I am particularly satisfied with my shave and I trust you will appreciate my generosity in sharing my sensations with you.
Some very materialistic people might wish that I had shared my substances, but that only means they have no idea of their miserable amount.

In this late morning shave I was accompanied by a woman's voice, unmistakably black, beautiful, hoarse, sweet and aggressive at the same time, which cheered me up considerably: her version of 'Ne me quitte pas' is different from those of Marlene Dietrich and Mireille Nathieu, but just as exciting.
