I'm getting older but my whiskers have always been like wire . Would kill a 5 blade cart in 2 shaves . I don't miss that expense anymore.

Oh boy! Cart days are a bad flashback for me too Myles. Are you face or bowl lathering the Tabac?

Yes! However, we spend that money on shave products that we like so we really aren't saving money unless you only have one straight razor, one brush and use the same soap and aftershave. We all know that's not happening. Lol!

That's how I lather 90% of the time . I don't like my lather runny but not too thick either . It also depends on razor I'm using . Never thought shaving would be this complicated but I sure love the process involved in wetshaving. The only soap I struggle to lather now is the Mitchell's wool fat. Ugh.

Awesome report and photos Joseph. Love the brush.

Congrats on the new razor Danny. I thought you'd like the potato peeler.

:happy102::happy097: nope . Never . I'd rather have lots of variety and awesome shaves over fickle carts . You will never see me join a No buy either Joe.

Joe @Trigger knows my views on Tabac and also knows he could never offend me! The Tabac issue is one Charlie @wristwatchb and I enjoy batting back and forth! The stink is there, but it lathers easily, and doesn’t require the specialized techniques that MWF does! Tabac’s the soap for the less sophisticated lather builders;)

Congrats on your first shave with the Fatboy, Myles. I tend to leave mine on the same setting (9) for the duration of the shave. With practice, any setting will deliver the a fine shave. It's just a matter of finding the right angle, depending on the blade exposure of particular setting. I'm a big fan of the Voskhod blades too.

What is the date code on your Fatboy? I have several G's, as that's my birth year.

    Amazing looking lather Joseph
GREAT shave and pic Danny. It doesn't look as much like a potato peeler with the center filled in on that model.
