    Saturday's Shave

    Omega 10066 Boar
    Proraso Red Shaving Soap
    T.N. Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Proraso Red Aftershave
    Soap Commander Integrity ASB

    I brought out the Proraso Red today for an excellent Sandalwood Saturday Shave.
    2+ passes provided a comfortable and efficient result this morning with no irritation or mishaps to report.

    Tuxedo Synthetic brush
    Col. Conk Glycerin based Bay Rum Soap
    Gillette C1 Flair Tip
    Personna Blue (1)
    Proraso Green toning lotion w/menthol & eucalyptus

    I think it has been a day and a half this shave.

    Good finish but I got sloppy on my lower neck ATG work and nicked myself. Haven’t done that in a while and it has been even longer since I needed to hit it with the styptic pencil. It is why I like Feathers over Personna which don’t cut hair so easily.

    Got a new toy for my rocks, The Jarrod Plate. A concave elliptical lapping plate to create a great convex ellipse on hones. Those interested will find a thread in the straights section. I may have to break my rule and do a straight razor hone and shave.

    Good shave, and cool lapping plate, Bill! You’re a couple of millennia experience-wise ahead of me with this convex hone business, Jared has been pushing! I’m gonna stick with what works for me! Good ole flat hones and lapping plates! Who knows, maybe someday I’ll break free and see the light! :sad038:
