Ive been trying to find a solid street date for the transformer in the US with little luck. Do you have any idea?

 

I'm still holding out for the noteslate. At 99 simoleans, it's much more likely to one day be within my budget.

Yeah, I think I'd actually get more use out of something like that than I would a full-blown tablet. All the bells and whistles would just distract me from actually doing anything. But a digital legal pad... now there's something I could really get use out of. Not just for keeping track of my notes, but also for digitizing my doodles. My drawing has really slacked off in the last few years, and I think something like that would help to make it "fresh" to me again.

I kinda only want a tablet for logmein, its not fun on my phone

 

Morning everyone!

Well it has been a relaxing week, but now.. back to work!

 

Taking my daughter to dance class later. While she's in class, I'll be picking up shelf-stable lunches and snacks I can keep in the car for work. Some days (starting with most and decreasing over time) I'll be working at the plant without a refrigerator.

 

I guess I should probably go to bed now. I've been up all night discussing the virtues of Librarything.com vs. Goodreads.com with TWGW.

The worse part is, I've been using goodreads for the better part of a year now. I was siding with librarything in this discussion.

Darn my inability to walk away from an argument.

Nah, s'all good. We weren't actually fighting or anything, just discussing.

 

Wow, it was a quiet day in here yesterday. I kept daughter out of wife's way, while wife was working on getting assignments done so that we could all have this afternoon free. We will be heading into Chicago during a possible severe thunderstorm to go to the Museum of Science and Industry to see the storm exhibit.. :happy102 Yup... Well, the rest of the museum is good too, but my daughter loves the new storm exhibit.

 

Picked up a copy of Jack Kerouac's On The Road at the Goodwill yesterday for a dollar. When I opened it up, this was the inscription:

"Have a fun filled successful 6 mo in London! We love you very much & will miss ou terribly. Love, Dad & Ma"

Somebody had some pretty cool parents.

 

Just picked up a Blu-ray with Netflix streaming as I'm dropping Direct TV. How did I ever live without Netflix? This beats satalite or cable by a long shot!

Just be careful with your internet usage. Our neighbors didn't know how much it used and they ended up getting charged extra by their ISP for bandwidth. I do like NetFlix it is a pretty cool thing, 8 dollars a month.

 

I don't have a limit on the total data (just speed).
