Gentlemen, I'm proud to announce that the Red Tip razor(and a few other goodies)arrived yesterday. These were PIFed so I'm still smokin' on my NB(although I don't smoke).

good morning gents..another cool shave this morning with the simplex military razor/nacet..fine 2+ pass near bbs.went with the ethos succes again..lovely stuff.finely built lather with the custom badger..floid black tops it off..have a fine sunday everyone..

 

@wristwatchb , I'll be studying Mantic59's "lesson"on neck-shaving that I just got today(I'm on his mailing list).

No need to mention the lather. Stirling is just solid stuff and the Yaqi two band badger did an excellent job.

Does the Hawk get put into the drawer of forgotten razors....never to be seen again? Not yet... it did redeem itself slightly this morning.

Danny got to thinking.....yes it hurts at times and is a rare occurrence. With the blade exposure this razor has and since we are dealing with this type of blade...I decided to treat this thing like a shavette. In other words I rode the cap on this puppy like the pony express. Much better and with some skin stretching it was not a bad shave. Three passes and I am smooth. The alum was a little warm in a few spots but nothing unbearable. I'll give it another run in the morning and see if today's results are repeatable.

A splash if matching juice and I am ready.

Got a BBS shave with 2 passes without any problems. At the end of the shave, I decided at the spur of the moment to do a headshave with my Model T. The setting was on 4 and had a Rockwell blade in it. Achieved a BBS on three passes and touchups without any problems as well. Of course, I didn't include it in today's pic. Finished with my usual post shave regimen. It looks as though the Bay Rum will be done on my next shave.
I know most, if not all, don't take notice of my number of shaves, but I had to correct my past posts to have the right shavette #. It seems I posted a shavette shave in my hardcopy, but never did the shave. For some reason on Jan 7, I did a DE shave instead. It seems I recorded the shave a day ahead without doing it and posted that number here. Anyway, every number of my past shaves is now correct in my comments. Have a nice day guys!
