reminds me of a cat.......

Stopped to get some rolls at the bakery on the way into work this morning. They were still in the oven, so I picked up a French loaf to use for pulled pork sandwiches today. The warm bread sitting next to me smells awesome. It will be a challenge for the loaf to make it to lunch time.

 

Great... now I can "smell" freshly baked bread.. I am going to be ravenous by lunch!

 

Great. Now I have a craving for fresh sourdough.

 

The loaf didn't make it 20 minutes before I cut a hunk off and devoured it.

The rest is sitting there tormenting me.

 

Looks like I'll be a father to a second daughter sometime in the next 36 hours. Excited? Check. Terrified? Check. Blessed? Check.

Wish me luck gents. Outnumbered 4-1 if you count the dog. Told my wife next dog is a large male Rotty with a spiked color. Name like Thor or something.

Great, I can smell croissant roll now...complete with sausage, egg, and cheese. But that's because it's sitting in my trash can, after it jumped on the floor.
So much for breakfast today. Another freaking 72 hour (thus far) monday here.

Oh, did I mention I stepped on and broke my sunglasses this morning, too?

Snapped at the kids for not getting in the car "now", when all they wanted was a bye-bye hug...hard to find the balance between disciplined "do what you're told now" and "yes, I do love you and hugs are important" when you're already running late.

Uggh.

Surprisingly, our household is balanced. Husband and wife (duh), daughter and son.
One male dog, one female dog.
One male cat, one female cat.
2 female hamsters.
1 male fish, 1 male rabbit.

I think SWMBO recently bought me a Dirty Bird scuttle and it's arriving today...so my day could get a WHOLE lot better

Edit: Okay, so $6 a month for 1 pair of socks (per month)....or $6 for a six (or eight, if I find a good sale) pairs at the Mart of Wal....

 

But then you have to account for your fuel costs, wear and tear on the car, the chance that you may be photographed and put on POWM, and that you must set foot in the Mart of Wal...

 

excellent points, however, since I end up spending so much time in that place anyway, it's not a special trip just for socks
