Happy Monday gentlemen. A rather chilly morning here on LI but that did not stop me from having an iced water shave. I enjoy having a chill lather presented via the lather brush sitting in the scuttle while I complete my other morning cleansing routine.

The Twin Duck easily took care of business with a three pass shave. A neat silent alum confirmed the quality of this shave. It is now time to start another week with the Yutes.

SOTD MONDAY MORNING, JANUARY 25, 2021

Up and on my way early to complete the second dose of my twice yearly half day infusion for RA. Trust me this aging crap ain’t for sissies, as my own grandfather used to say! Since I was in a bit of a rush I grabbed my tried and true Feather DX for my mug and my Supply V2 loaded with a Schick Twinjector blade. The DX stripped the mug stubble right down to the skin line in three clean passes with its Feather Proguard blade while the Supply did the same for my dome in two passes. I’m really starting to like this A&E Shaving Butter. It claims to possess lavender and wood notes , and there is a slight ‘frou frou’ flowery scent when first opened, but that quickly dissipates, leaving what is essentially an unscented shave. A&E advertise the stuff as being the first of their skin essentials line, and boy, they’re not kidding. This is one shaving cream/croap that could easily be used alone. It leaves an almost iridescent sheen on the shave surface that is initially a bit sticky, but dries to the same feeling as an excellent balm like a Castle Forbes or Pre de Provence. Because I like menthol I finished the shave with Krampert’s Frostbite AS. Just a great shave leaving me feeling clean, cool, and velveteen smooth!

Monday's seem to come way too soon. At least I can have a relaxing shave before starting the day. The Cade cream was easy to lather and actually worked better than I remembered. This was a gift from the wife so it will get used. Three passes and touch ups caught the baby. Overall a very nice drama free shave. I hope everyone has a great Monday

Good morning gentlemen. I don't know what happened but I woke up to a different razor this morning.

The Razorock 400 didn't take long to whip up the Imperial this morning. I really enjoy this soap. It is a soap that just works and is unscented......for some reason I like that.

The Feather Professional was on its second run in the Hawk V2 Hulk this morning and I have to admit I was dreading the shave. Yesterday's shave was decent but not where it needed to be. I put the razor to my face and made a few passes and wow! What was going on? It was like I had a different razor......smooth and comfortable.....like it is suppose to be. Three very nice passes and I am smooth. I rode that cap again this morning. I promise it was like someone swapped out the Hawk. The alum was almost completely quiet this morning. I'll give the Hawk a run in the morning before I declare victory but I think I am almost there.

Finished up with some Witch Hazel and a splash Pinaud Clubman Aftershave Lotion.
