This dubl duck M3 brush was included in a lot, and even though it's a bit banged up, I still thought it was worth saving. First two pics after I cut the old knot. So I installed a new 24mm boar knot in it, third pic.................

Thanks Gary. I do love broken in boar brushes, especially barbershop style ones like this one. My only problem is I want to keep them all.

I do plan on that. I just have a few Rubbersets, Certifyds and Ever-Readys to decide on.

It's got a lot of character and I'm also a fan of barbershop brushes. Different type of project than the Rubberset, which I think is a beautiful brush.

I don't know the maker of this brush, but I like it's shape. Also this donor brush doesn't have a maker's name, but I like it's flat top boar knot.............

I believe it's an Ever Ready similar to this one.

    Great work Jim!

Last week, @Jorvaljr sent me some brushes to restore (1st pic). I received the knots today and installed them. I then proceeded to do test lathers on them, it's a habit (2nd pic)...................

L-R: Plymouth with two band badger, Ever-Ready 102 with red fox synthetic, Ever-Ready 150C with cashmere, Travel (unbranded) with boar. The last brush, Ever-Ready 623 I didn't think needed a new knot. The original was still stiff, so I soaked it in hair conditioner then sanded and painted the handle..................

Thanks Keith, so do I. I also like the red E-R. The pic doesn't do it justice as it has a nice marbled look to it.

I agree, some reason I recall them being nicknamed "Ever Ready Hose Nozzle" due to their resemblance to a firehose nozzle. The Cashmere looks great in it and I plan on doing the same to a butterscotch ER Nozzle I have laying about.
