It is beautiful wood. I have a small chunk of it. I do have a few exotics as well. Will take some pics sometime.

Well, this shave report should be rubber-stamped from that of yesterday. The only difference was taking the brush to the soap twice(0:30 and 0:10)for a satisfactory load. But again I concentrated on going softer and slower all the way around, and it not only killed the astroturf(but for some at N.W. Porcupine Alley, and the usual toughness down at N.E. Cactus Nation). As I mentioned before, there must be some ingrown hairs around the latter. But it also was Knick and Cut free again. Even the "ice-chipping" along the jaw-line was safe and painless. Another difference was the brush-today's was the Maggard 24 mm. (Marble Handle). Stoylin spice came through again(both the soap&A.S.). Outta This World Excellent.

Jason, did you order the wide body top cap? I always had issues with the protruding blade tabs on the original Karve top cap?

Another wonderful shave with a different Parker safety razor. Hey, Barry, would you be willing to try a straight razor if one were PIF’D your way?

The beige of Tabac would look stunning against the Brazilian Rosewood, Charlie. You have very good taste and quite optimistic.

Lovely shave, Joe! I prefer either the Feather Super or Schick Ptoline. Both performed well for me, but I’d give the slight edge to the feather super. Enjoy your day!

Beautiful Model 1912 and kit photo, Jason! Love that classic Art Deco handle on the razor. Glad you’re enjoying it.

Did you get the wide body cap? I forgot to mention it when I heard you won. The blade tabs really protrude from the regular cap.

Zingari Man SS - The Wanderer
    Feather AC DX (Kamisori style)
    Feather AC Professional (1)
    Zenith Boar
    Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements Star Jelly
Hugo Boss - The Scent Parfum

Wanted a super slick predictable soap this morning, and ZM's Sego base doesn't disappoint. Heavily loaded the damp Zenith boar, moved over to the shaving bowl and created a rim overflowing uber lather. Face feeling bliss when painted on with the well broken in knot (you can see the split tips in the image). Not sure why I keep dragging out this little razor....getting comfortable with it I reckon. Loaded the Feather AC DX up with a matching manufacturer blade, the Feather AC Professional. 2 passes, WTG, XTG (almost ATG) for a super smooth result. 2 bites on the upper lip from a single set down error on the first pass, oops. No big deal, alum kept it under control. The AC Pro on it's first use is more edgy for set down pressure than the Schick Proline B-30 I've been using most of the time with the AC DX handle. Since I had the 2 little bites....switched the plan to be a bit more friendly to the slow crimson weep. Couple pumps of PAA's Star Jelly helped keep the minor nicks closed, then followed with a spray on parfum, Hugo Boss's The Scent. To my nose, it has a hint of spiced citrus, with a blend of spring pine (ginger) forest when first sprayed, quickly dries down to a nice green 'cut wood' fragrance. Wifey 'Oh Yeah' approved. Great part is that it was a find back in Oct '19 from the men's section of a local Marshall's for 70% off retail. Hard to beat that combo!

Here's Frangratica's description: The Scent Parfum Edition by Hugo Boss is a Woody Spicy fragrance for men. Boss The Scent Parfum Edition was launched in 2017. Top notes are Ginger and Citruses; middle notes are Maninka, Orris Root, Lavender and Patchouli; base notes are Leather and Woody Notes.

Hope everyone has a Terrific Tuesday!
