    Paul, it took me a few shaves to figure out the angle that best suited me to get a quality shave with it. Initially, I was riding the bar more than I should have. Eventually, as I adjusted to tilting the razor to closer to riding the cap, I have been able to obtain consistently OTWE and comfortable shaves with it. Don't get discouraged. Just keep working at it. You will be rewarded.

    You are very fortunate indeed, Clint! My wife is very supportive of this hobby as well (bought me a vintage razor for the first time at Xmas, even)but if I asked her to 'just stop by TOBS and have a looksee' if she was heading to London, I'd get a glazed over dismissive look, methinks.
    The razor was an impulse purchase? How unusual...:angelic007:

    Congrats on the razor, Dave, it sounds like a winner for sure. The brush looks fantastic as well- love the burlwood in it.

    That is a very cool looking brush, Joe. Don't take that brush to aisle 12 either, that would really confuse the fine ladies there who judge shaving soap as just something to be masked with Pinaud.

    good morning gents,fine shave this morning with the canadian 4 piece tech/kai blade combo.fine sc bignoli tallow lather built with the restored opal synthetic brush..it seems the Kai blade makes a difference efficiency wise on these razors..bbs achieved with 2+ smooth passes.while i didn't push it and this is my first go with them i will see how it goes..extra care was taken..capped off the shave with some proraso sandalwood aftershave.awesome..have a great day everyone..:cool:

    You will love the Parfum, Jason. I'm rocking it today. Two sprays to the chest, and it's good for all day. This one's definitely a repurchase at some point.

    I appreciate @Dave in KY and @Primotenore banding together so that we have a comparison between the EdT and Parfum.
