Congrats Joe. I am not sure if the Rockwell uses metric or inch threads. You can give it a try. However, don't force anything.

    Thanks Clint.

If at the time I had the last option, I'd have been happy and richer.

Congrats Joe. I use a SS Bulldog handle on my R41 head, and it works great. I'm guessing you can use the Rockwell handle.

Happy Saturday everyone. The Semogue G3 Galahad brush arrived this week so I wanted to give it a go today. I really like the color of the handle. Semogue boar brush have turned into one of my favorite board brushes. The brushes arrive without the terrible boar stench and the color of the knots are fantastic. Thus far the Semogue boars have broken in quickly and worked pretty well from the start. The Galahad loaded and lathering the SdM with ease. I kept adding water while face lathering and was rewarded with a rich slick lather. I picked up this 47 SS from @Primotenore during one of his den clearings. Normally I am not a fan of Gillette TTO razors but this one is the clear exception. As expected, the razor delivered a drama free near BBS shave. A splash of Fine L'Orange Noir and I am off to visit my Mom. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.

Fine shave this morning. 0:20 followed by 0:10 to load the brush with the Grandpa's Barbershop(CTS). Actually, the 0:10 happened after beginning to spread it onto my cheeks-knew right away I needed more than the 0:20. I got A LITTLE farther with the 1957 Red Tip, but still with the same result....nada. I could feel it going over astroturf, yet there was no strength in the movement. Once again, the DisposeABLE came in to finish off the first pass and do the second. Very careful work around N. Porcupine Alley. Mostly good down at Cactus Nation-redness suddenly showed up out of nowhere. Not much, but there it was. As for the Red Tip, I might try a new blade for tomorrow-another Astra or perhaps something different. I have some Wilkinsons, would they be too "tough" for the 1957? How about Voskopt(sp)? 4 more Astras in the tuck. Anyway, for the shave, Super Duper Excellent.

Except, in my case, the term would be "Primo Uomo". Get with the program, Dave.

Thanks Clint. Rockwell is a Canadian company so I would assume that they use metrics in their specs. However, I appreciate the advice. I don't want to be stripping threads on the Rockwell handle or the Muhle post.

Nice prize, Joe. I use a Weber Bulldog on mine, while I am not certain, my best guess is that the Mühle razors will accept any standard handle.

Great setup and shave, Clint. The brush looks nice (except for that dark hair ;)), and the bowl is a beauty. Enjoy the time with your sweet Mom today.

Mühle is a German company, so they use metrics as well.

Thanks Maestro! I believe that you are correct, but I will be careful when I switch the handles.

Y'know, these days, when I hear the word "program", I think...what program....Alabama? Ohio State? Stanford? See what society has done these days? A program is now a sports team, not something you get handed at a play or sports event.

Lol! Thanks Paul! I subscribe to a number of channels. However, my favorite is IAMCDB (Chris Bailey). I tune in to his channel every day and I won this giveaway from him. I like his channel because he shaves with SE, DE, straights, shavettes and he reviews products without being a homer. In other words, he calls it as he sees it.

Kudos for rolling along with the Red Tip, Paul. If it were me, I'd stick with the Astra blades for now. No need to introduce another variable as you are learning new technique, IMO.

I got out this morning at 6:30 a.m. and got my errands completed early. Got some stuff to do around the house today, and we want to get outside before the rains arrive later this afternoon. I may even shave this three days of growth on my mug. I've a got a new Gillette Silver Blue blade loaded in my Gillette SC and ready for just such an occasion.

    Enjoy your Saturday!

Thank you Charlie...you do the same. Y'know, that's another thing...I may try a different technique with the same blade. Maybe South to North? If so, at the first sign of blood, I'll try something else. South to North works fine and for the most part is safe with the DisposeABLE. I've come to decide I don't like even TWO days of growth.
