Add a way to transfer what I've drawn/written on it to a computer and you've got me sold. That's my only real complaint about the boogie board. It needs some form of storage. I'd be willing to pay another $50 for that feature, which explains my enthusiasm for this piece of potential vaporware.

Until then, one of these will have to do:

hehe, this link is different than the one I PM'd you. And yeah, too bad it doesn't have any form of storage. Surely it's hackable . Wonder if that pen that links to Android would work?

So it is. My mistake. I just did a cursory glance at the url and thought they were the same. :happy102

You may be onto something with that android pen... maybe get one of those and clip to the sesame street magic slate... hmmm...

And now for something completely different:

A picture of Julianne Moore--yes that's really her, she's playing a role in an upcoming HBO movie.

Sara is hotter, but that's the only credit I'll give her

For those who care, I put some money down on a 1911 today...holy smokes I'm excited!

    Calendars

Okay, I'm gonna just throw this out there and see what I get. I probably should start a new thread, but I'll see what I get here:

I've been using Outlook (from Office 2000) for quite some time, merely for the purpose of printing blank monthly calendars.
I print some for me for dealing with bills and payments and such, and for the kitchen for family goings-on.

I'd like to find a simpler alternative, even though it's not a painstaking process, it is rather tedious, and can be time consuming if I let it.
I've yet to find any other format or layout I like better than the simple, blank landscape, 5-week calendar layout (start and end date of each month coinciding with payday, just to keep my bearings), with a blank area down the right side for notes.

Anyone else do anything similar? Suggestions? I've tried printing from Yahoo calendar and Google calendar, though I haven't tried recently since they've both updated, but I don't think it will quite do what I want.
I think I'm going to give Google calendar another shot later, and actually start listing payments by date on the calendar, and I can filter the calendar to show just the bills/payments due and such (can with Yahoo, too, but my phone makes using Google more efficient).

    Any other ideas?

EDIT: Just did a print preview from Google, I think that may work, if I can figure out how to get a blank task area to the side or something

    A sailor 1911?

Wish I could...the wife handles the bills in my household. She does it all from memory as far as what's due and when. You could always make your own using Photoshop or Excel...

    Sailor? No, a pistol

D'Oh... ya know, I should have known that. Congrats! However, there are enough fountain pen users around here that the Sailor 1911 was quite possible. :ashamed001

    Holy Giggity Giggity Goo!!

First Summer Glau, then Jewel Staite and Morena Baccarin....now Christina Hendricks?!?!?!

I'm never watching any other show, ever....it can never compare.

Oh, and the show/plot/etc is pretty good, too :D

I'm sure there's some audiophiles around here, but I wonder, is anyone into field recording?

I'm thinking of setting up a dirt-cheap (digital voice recorder?) rig for making stereo recordings of nature. The biggest thing is, it needs to be small and it needs to record in stereo. Computer connectivity is a must, as is a super-low price. Ultimately, I'd like to put a microphone on either temple of my glasses, and get as close to a binaural recording as I can.

    tips?

    No idea

But I'm 99% sure I'm getting a Dirty Bird scuttle today from SWMBO!

    Awesome!

I haven't gone the scuttle route yet, but I do like the look of those scuttles.

    So, any special occasion?

I didn't necessarily need a scuttle...I have an oversized coffee cup that works decently. It will be nice though because the sink stopper deal in my bathroom is broken so I can't keep water in the sink. I have to use a tupperware bowl and place the cup in the bowl to keep the lather warm...kind of a pain. So a legit scuttle will be nice

Occasion? Graduating with my Masters next Saturday  Now, I need to find something for her since she will also be graduating with her Masters. It's really hard to buy for her because she doesn't have ANY hobbies...she doesn't even like to shop very much

Awesomeness! I've never used a scuttle before because, well, I never really understood them and what they were for. Now I know and now I've got a Becker scuttle being made for me. So you and I can be "scuttle buddies"!

Here's the one he's making for me except mine will have a spout and spout plug. I chose it because I really dig the cranberry color and the overall color pattern.

See I really liked the RB scuttles too...especially since you can get lids for them. But since this is a surprise (That I "don't" know about ), and she saw me looking at DBs once, that's what I'm getting. I'm still going to be plenty happy with it.

    Deal; scuttle buddies :happy108

'Haul' pics will come later today when the mail comes :)
