The band ASIA is playing at work tonight. Normally you never see the artists before it is time to go on stage, but they are milling around getting things ready as it is the first day of their tour. Carl Palmer was walking by my office and saw the drum head signed by Ringo hanging on the wall. He asked who it was and I said please come in and told him it was Ringo and he had played here a few times in the past. He asked if I would like one signed by him, I said absolutely and he ran off to go get one. When he came back, he gave it to me and said just hang it above Ringo's. I laughed and thanked him.

I'm not the biggest ASIA fan, but it was nice to see an artist that was a decent individual. He definitely stepped up a bit in my book.

Turned it into a good day.

Sometimes I feel like I've missed something really big, but then, I remember, it's Thursday. I never could get the hang of Thursdays.

In other news, Netflix just got a exponentially more awesome.

It wasn't much worth seeing, just someone looking for attention.

&@(*^(O&@*^$(%#* I got out of the talent show at my daughter's school and started to get into my car. Then I noticed the hole in the side of the car. Guess I don't need to worry about putting bullet hole stickers on my car. For what its worth, they were only BB gun sized holes and we have had problems for the last 4 months with someone shooting at cars in town with a BB gun. Still pissed... Lovely way to spend a day off of work...

Holy smokes! A BB going fast enough to puncture holes in the side of a car? Maybe an air gun/rifle? I doubt grandpa's old Daisy would do that much damage...hell we used to shoot those BBs into the air and see who could catch them on the way down

    A) D4m^ dude, that sucks, that would piss me off too. In fact, I'm pissed off for you

    B) BB gun sized? Shooting cars with BB guns? What the h377 kind of BB gun does this dude have? Either that's one super-powerful, military grade BB gun (don't let Ralphie see it, he'll drop his Red Ryder in a heart beat), or some thin-skinned automobiles in your area

    wow

The holes are dime sized dents where all the outer paint is gone showing the primer. At the very center of the coned dent is a dimple just the size of a BB where the metal is exposed. I didn't investigate it thoroughly in the rain. I don't think any of them went all the way through. Now, I am pretty sure that those were not there before I went to daughter's school and I was parked next to a van. The angle of the BB dent looks like it was fired downward so the person was probably standing right next to my car and firing nearly point blank. The van parked next to me blocked any security camera from picking anything up and I can't prove it happened there at the school. It could have happened at one of the number of other stops I made this morning.

I am sure my wife is going to blame the idiots in the apartment downstairs that were playing with gun shooting at each other's feet the other day. I suppose it could have been them... but I didn't notice it when I left to go to daughter's school.

cool! I'm a fan of John Wetton. Was he there? Didja meet him?

    yep.

same here. I have enough drama in my life, what with work and a four year old and a two year old.

A shotgun pellet could do that kind of damage. Or maybe a pellet gun. I can't imagine a BB gun putting a hole in a car. But I haven't owned a BB gun since I was 10.

Ah, that makes more sense. I was picturing actual holes like you see in windows from BB guns, except with paint damage.

Too bad there'll never be sufficient punishment/discipline for these jackwagons that do crap like that :angry019

Don't underestimate those CO2 powered bb pistols. I used to have one that could should a hole in a military canvas tent from 15 paces. That was 20+ years ago. I'm sure they're much improved now.

The entire band was there from about noon today. It is really odd to see the artists before the show. The only one I actually chatted with was Carl Palmer and that was because he was asking about the autographed drum head on my wall. If I wasn't so busy, I would have snapped a few photos, but it was one of those days where everything had to be done 15 minutes ago.
