I think Viking is great. The scent has many transitions and despite having many notes it is as likable as a simple fragrance would be.

    Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Asda Tingly Mint & Tea Tree Shower Gel.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears Lemon ~ Flower Transparent Bar Soap + Nuage Menthol shaving Oil.
    Brush: Unbranded Turkish Boar.
    Face Lather.
Frankensoap : (Grated) Arko Shave stick + Dettol Original Anti Bacterial Soap & Palmolive Classic Shave Stick.
    Blade: Derby Premium. (4)
    Razor: Lord L125.

    Post:
Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade (~Winter mix~) Lavender + Tea Tree Oil Witch Hazel Mixture./Duru ~ Mandarin Cologne /Aloe Vera Gel.

    Greetings,

A near Turkish themed Thursday shave..

It's been a while since i last used the Lord L125 razor, a lightweight middle aggression razor which was kindly passed on to me each time i normally use my Schmidt R10 Handle to give the razor more heft, however with either handle the performance and shaving results from this razor have been satisfactory. Paired together with the Derby Premium blade on it's 4th & last outing made a wonderful smooth duo.
A enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of Aloe Vera Gel.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)

Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.

Not a perfect morning, but gray enough.

A powdery soap was what I craved and I used it: the De Vergulde Hand.
And I wanted to prove that one can't always tell a book by its cover and therefore one can’t tell a soap by its bowl, but, certainly, with a nice wooden bowl, the puck looks better than in the blue plastic one.
If I had been smarter in the beginning, I would have used it on the other side, leaving the logo intact.

Used as a stick, it's definitely better than higher-priced soaps: the layer that settles on the skin is much more consistent and the lathering is quicker.
And the aesthetics of the soap at rest is definitely superior!
I felt excellent glide and not the poor protection, of which I care little for: I'm full of aftershaves and balms!

And I used the blade I didn't like with the Maggard and the result was incredible: it was excellent.
The poor results I complained about depended, therefore, on the razors, which is weird because vintage razors usually give excellent results with virtually any blade.
I'm glad I made this discovery: I won't have to get rid of them.

It was the third time in a row that I listened to this record: I really like it!

PS The bottle of EdT is shot from reverse is for a precise stylistic decision.

    Gillette Sheraton
    Gillette Silver Blue

    Pinaud Citrus Musk EdC

The Wilkinson Sword Shave Stick was applied with the Jayaruh 340 2-band Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Sheraton with a Gillette Silver Blue blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Citrus Musk EdC. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Brush: Techichi The Hive
Soap: Lakewood SOCP (1508.5 Project on Steroids)
    AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
    AS 2: Nivea 2 into 1 Splash
    Fragrance: Terre D'Hermes EDP

What a difference when you can sleep till 5-5:30 am. Aaaahhh, and a great shave. Continuing with the 1508.5 on steroids and boredom is at bay for now as I'm seeing progress. Can I run it out till done only time will tell. I wanted to run the Lupo Dual Comb on the .95 SB side only and it confirmed that of all the options that were recently available, the .95 SB is the best fit for me. Sold Out but have a lead on one that hopefully is still available for me to purchase. Then the Dual Comb base plate will be for sale and perhaps the .72 as well. Have a sample of the TDH EDP to compare to my EdT and will give thoughts on that when I wear for awhile. Pic is with my 1st motorcycle..........literally the one I played with as a kid. My mom made me buy one on ebay to trade her for it because she wanted one in the set for the grandkids to play with. Thanks Mike (My Brother with the kids) Hope everyone has a stupendous day !
