I think this is a ymmv situation because each shaver has different techniques, standards, beards, etc. I can get 8 shaves with a Rockwell blade, but I now stop at 5 or 6.

You just perfectly described my ex wife . This woman I have now isnt big on spending unless necessary and also gives me free reign of my wallet . I could see her point on the Karve though as I had added extra plates in the cart and the total was over 200 bucks .

 

I should have made someone a NB bet too. Easy way to get a Karve

 

I can get just as many, but I like my face without irritation. Feel free to use your blades as often as you wish, they're your blades. When I post an opinion, it's just mine...no one else's.

good afternoon gents,just had a shave with the bnewly arrived "canadian flat bottom t4 piece tech.never seen one on any sights before.cap is unique to this razor,loaded with the minora on it's second go.faboulous williams lather built with the custom best badger,bbs in 2+ comfy smooth passes.no issues.blade is nice.feels like a tech shave and efficient. Similar to the prewar. A splash of shulton leather to finish..Awesome..have a great rest of day everyone..

I have the D OC plate. The OC plates seem to have more blade feel to me.
