February Focus

AoS Sandalwood~~Simpson CH2~~Dovo~~Premiere Luxe Oud Pour Homme
Good morning from the soon-to-be frigid midwest.
Ohhhh, the AoS is sinking fast...withholding life preserver and throwing out a boulder.
The CH2 is assisting in this soap's demise.

Dovo Best Quality straight, lovingly stropped to buttery goodness by yours truly.
The edge was excellent and the results were just as nice.
NO issues---nada, niente, NICHTS!
Post shave juice arrived from France yesterday.
It was pointed out to me, that the product is available on Amazon. Oh well.
Loveliest of Ouds. Earthy, rich, and delightful.
Who ever would have thunk (sic) that this is an Avon product?

Notes for my fellow fragheads.

I'll say this, if your are Oud-Curious, you could do a LOT worse.

Happy Saturday everyone. I am sticking with my goal of sinking the AOS Lavender cream and it is going down fast. Following @wristwatchb Charlies advise I switched out the handle on the R102 to the SS Triad handle. The stock handle worked great and this one did as well. Another drama free BBS shave. I am enjoying this razor more than I would have thought or hoped. The R102 could easily be a daily driver. Off to run errands with SWMBO. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.

 

Fantastic shave Paul! You may have invented a new angle Paul! Lol! Why do you say that your angle is different than most shavers? The DE cutting angle is set by the manufacturer. Are you arriving at that angle because you are using an unorthodox grip?

 

Awesome shave Barry! I didn't know Nivea made a shave stick. I don't think we get it in the states unless online. I use their balm to moisturize my face after my shave. Have a great afternoon!

Super Saturday shave Dave! I consider the Shake Sharp an SE razor that uses DE blades. I agree that this razor does an awesome job. I ptimarily use it for headshaves. It gives me a great smooth cueball finish. The great thing about this razor is that it's almost impossible to cut yourself or develop any irritation from it.

Good morning!

Terrific shave to start the day! I'm still sticking with my usual three and out with DE blades eventhough I'm only shaving my neck and upper cheeks. The Aluminum Karve did it's turn in the rotation admirably.

Time for a razor swap. I don't have an R41 or one of its variants so I can't join in. @brit posted several Timeless Razor pics recently so I think I'll do a run with them. I'll start with the Bronze OC. Not sure how it compares to the R41 but it is by far the least forgiving of the Timeless razors in my opinion.

Thanks for letting me know Clint! I have gone to my local Walmart and don't recall seeing it. In fact, Patrick mentioned Dickenson's WH was also available at Walmarts as well, but I also don't remember seeing it on their shelves. It might be possible that different stores base their inventory on local purchasing habits. Anyway, I need to stop into Walmarts for other things so I will check out the Men's grooming section to see if those items are stocked.
