Ooops... almost messed up... I forgot that this was my parents anniversary.. 40th anniversary at that. I suppose I ought to make a point to not forget my upcoming anniversary (17th)

 

You all saw the post where I showed off my recent book haul, right? Well, one of the books was by Gene Wilder... I believe it's an autobiography. Anyway, I spent this evening working on a computer for a little old lady from church. She gave us a box of reader's digest books and a healthy stack of assorted books along with a modest little payment for my time.

In that stack of books?

Gilda Radner's autobiography.

I'm a little creeped out.

What's even creepier is that when I hit post on that my computer dropped its internet connection. I ultimately had to restart the computer to get it back, then re-type it all and post again. (I cheated, before shutting down, I copy/pasted my post into a note)

I'm more than a little weirded out by it all.

 

Wife says that Gilda Radner's autobiography was a good read.

 

For netflixers with a hankerin' for some Saturday Morning Cartoon nostalgia, I present Toonasium I wish I had thought of this.

 

I don't think I'll be watching the entire playlist, but some good ideas. After all my errands and chores today I might sit down to some Pink Panther.

Ok guys...got a Kindle for a graduation present and I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it. If you muddle back a few weeks ago we talked about these and I said I would never buy one because I get my books for free at the library. Why would anyone pay $10 (or more) to download a book? Is there any reason to keep this?

 

Well, since: You didn't have to buy it; There are many ebooks in public domain; and many libraries are starting to rent ebooks, I'd say keep it.

In other news... I have dirt under my finger nails. I got the deck planted. Life at the moment, is good.

 

manybooks.net is your friend here. I love having my e-reader because I have access to such a wide variety of classics and the form factor is just amazing for reading hefty tomes.
