Turner & Cowlishaw out of Meriden, CT (1872-1880)
    “The Celebrated German Concave”
    Suds: SV Dolomiti

Joseph Turner seemed have some interesting connections...
Born in Sheffield in 1838, he worked for quite a few of the Sheffield names, including Wade & Butcher. Came to the US in 1870 and was making razors in Meriden by 1872. Joined up with Joseph Torrey to start up razor manufacturing for J.R. Torrey in 1880, moving the operation to Worcester, Mass.

    6/8 Diamante

Was looking forward to shaving with this one. The blade is heavy, which I have come to like. But, had to get a feel for holding the scales. She shaved nice. Not super but, nice.

I will have to give her a B-. Perhaps with more use I will adapt to her blade for a better shave?

She's a looker. A little disappointed in her performance, though.

I really like this Vetiver scent, think I'll be springing for some of this stuff. Bad news is the Argumes might smell better. Absolutely hated the original scent. Have a good one. 20210208_093526.jpg
