I was about 8 comics in before I realized they had alt-text. I went back to the beginning and read through them again. They're pure genius.

You bet!

 

Dell really needs to do something about the USB mouse and keyboard problem with their computers...I think a good start would be to kick the person responsible in the jibblets once for each and every time I've had to waste time on a computer trying to figure out which specific USB ports it wants them plugged into.

Seriously, no other computer I know of freezes completely when the USB mouse and/or keyboard are plugged into a port it doesn't want. In fact, 99% of all other computers I've worked on, you can unplug and reconnect to a different USB port, WITH Winbloze running, and it finds it and keeps running happily along forever after.

But, no, not [slash] D [/slash] Hell computers, nope. If it boots up and decides it wants the keyboard plugged into USB port 3, and the mouse in 5, it will refuse to play until the issue is resolved.


Uggh, such an uncomfortable irritation in the mule.

 

Is this a model specific problem? I've (thankfully) not encountered it yet.

On the other hand, can someone tell me (other the fact that they are cheap POS laptops) while the stupid Dell Vostros keep randomly rebooting?

 

nope, only Dell specific - Optiplex GX260s, 270s, 280, 330s, 350s, 360s, some Dimensions...

Could be several factors, bad driver, Windows registry or system file corruption, bad RAM, bad HDD sector, bad BIOS, the fact that it's a cheap POS Dell....

certainly sounds like a disrespectable character. I had to go to JetPens to see if that is where you found that. It looks like all the Pilot Petit1 are out of stock. I wonder if that is a supply issue after the earthquake or if they have been discontinued...

My tendinitis hasn't been getting any better but I realized yesterday that the brace which has been digging into my wrist and thumb has now caused my thumb to lose feeling. So no more brace during the day time. This just keeps getting more fun.

 

yep. today is such a monday.

Somebody's been breaking in to the office space here. Things have been disappearing for some time- the secretary's purse was stolen on the first Monday of this week. Last night they tried to jimmy the door to the parish administrator's office.

And this is a church. A big, ornate church that you can't mistake for anything else.

We don't know how they're getting in without setting off the alarm. It looks like they have the alarm code and may even have a key. This sucks.

 

That does indeed suck. It's frightening how low some people in this society will go, and even more frightening the prospect is that it could, and most likely will, get much, much worse.

And even more worser when it appears to be an inside job.

Hope you get it figured out quick.

That is just plain low. Next, they will be robbing the food bank. Ugh!

 

thankfully, it's not an inside job. won't go into details online, but it's no one associated with the church.

oh, and forget the attack fish- if Rolls was still around we could just hire him out to do our security. I'm pretty sure no one would mess with us once they tangled with him.

 

I read "security" as "secretary".
