After this intense menthol bombardment it’ll take almost the whole day for my face to thaw out - even the mentholated pre shave soap has a good cooling sensation and it’s pretty much unscented, it does a great job of cleaning my skin and softening my tough beard stubble. The Glacial Black Cherry soap is a menthol atom bomb with a lovely scent, fantastic lather which is so rich, slick as hell, and super protective. The Glacial Unscented balm soothed and moisturized my skin, not to mention how much extra iciness it added, and the Arctique aftershave is not only lethally cold - it smells awesome. Three passes gave me a brilliant BBS shave!

A better name for this soap would be Frigid As The North Pole because that’s exactly how it feels. I never thought I would ever find a soap that could match, let alone out freeze the Stirling Glacials or the Chiseled Face Cryogen but Jaco did it. The difference in the menthol sensation is not big but it’s definitely there - as soon as I started lathering up my face began freezing and the menthol felt colder with each pass, yet the skincare of this soap is perfect. The Prep moisturized, added to the freeze, and soothed my skin beautifully, while the Arctique aftershave brought the freeze to another level - by the way it smells so nice. Not even a professional barber could have given me a better shave than this!

Nice menthol shave with Proraso Green soap, Yaqi Defect Colorful Mysterious Space 24mm Cashmere, Van der Hagen razor, Derby Premium blade and Wars Fresh aftershave:

 

As you recall, that was my problem with Stoylin Wintergreen....it was frigid as the North Pole(to steal you line)but no scent(that I could detect anyway).

As if yesterday’s shave with the Synergy Frost Byte soap wasn’t cold enough this one with Jaco’s Kameelperd was even colder - man alive, my face is frozen to the point where it feels like a block of ice. I enjoyed the lovely scent, as well as the thick, rich, bitterly cold lather, and the postshave feeling was perfect - no dryness or irritation whatsoever. The Prep and the Arctique were such a wonderful finale, not to mention how beautiful the Bleu de Chanel smells. The brand new Astra Green blade ensured a brilliant BBS shave!

Do you find that the Fall’s Lumberjack soap is mentholated? I notice that it contains menthol but I don’t feel any cooling sensation from it.

This setup is not for the faint of heart - in fact it takes a real menthol fanatic like myself to be able to tolerate and enjoy it. The African Potato X 3 soap has such a beautiful outdoorsy, earthy scent, it’s such a pleasure to lather up, it’s so slick, the menthol sensation is Stirling Glacial frigid, and the skincare is perfect. The Prep and the Arctique aftershave were a very appropriate finish. The brand new Astra Green blade helped to ensure a splendid BBS shave!

Nach meiner Meinung ist diese Seife spitzenklass. Der Duft ist toll, der Schaum ist so reich sowie leicht anzuschlagen. Die Kühlwirkung ist auch extrem stark. Perfekte Hautpflege auch. Diese Seife ist ein Schatz aus Südafrika!
