Dag-nabbit! Fox cancelled The Chicago Code. This is why I stopped watching networks 'cause they always pull the rug out. I enjoyed this show a lot which surprised me because outside of football Fox has always been a joke network in my mind what w/ all the cartoons and lousy news. And don't get me started on the multitude of reality crap out there. Ughhh. Guess this is the price you pay when there's 900 channels on the tube competing for numbers. Well at least Justified is coming back.

Busy saturday so far, and I can't find anyone open to get inspection sticker on my car...I know the place I usually go is closed on Saturday, but I know there's usually some open, because I've had to go on Saturday before; I guess maybe they're taking a long weekend too.
I respect that, and they have the right and need to do that, but dagnabbit*, I need an inspection sticker on my car! :D

*just thought I'd use dagnabbit since Shep did :D

"Uncle Micah, Jamie and Adam both remind me of you."

Quite possibly the proudest moment of my life. :D

Though it's too late now, Jim, I always get my vehicles inspected at Ark-la-tex trucks, and they're open on Saturdays.

Well.. on my third day in a row of feeling bleh.... headache, stomach not quite right... Well... its a good thing we didn't get a campsite this year. Between the rain and everyone feeling bad, it is a just a sit around and watch tv anniversary weekend. We already planned on putting off our celebration by two weeks. We have tickets to see Chicago in Chicago and will be going out to eat and all then as then.

I'm feeling ya on this one, bud. I've got sinus drainage and a sore throat... plus I'm at my in-laws... I'm going to be babysitting here in a little bit while TWGW goes to a baby-shower for a close family friend.

I feel like crud and I really don't want to have to listen to all the Geico commercials be reinacted by my 11 year old nephew, but what are ya gonna do? Family duty and all that.

[Butthead]Uh-huh-huh, you said, "family dooty", huh-huh-huh[/Butthead]

Did I mention this replacement phone is a piece of crap? Keeps rebooting, half the time the screen isn't responsive, missed texts/calls/etc.
Guess it's another visit to the Verizon store...but a different one this time. May try the local one first, although I've never been that impressed with it, can't be much worse than my last experience at the big official one in Texarkana.
Or I may just go to Best Buy....[shiver]
Wish I could afford to just buy a new phone outright, the Droid X2, Droid 3, and the Galaxy S II (especially the GSII) are mighty tempting

    In reverse order:

    denomination= Episcopalian.
Title= The Reverend, or "father." [obscure trivia] Never "reverend" because reverend is a descriptive- you don't call a judge "honorable" but instead "the honorable judge so and so." So correct grammar would be "the reverend mister" or "the reverend father" or just plain "father." [/obscure trivia]

the process for becoming an Episcopalian priest= become an Episcopalian and serve as a layperson in an Episcopalian church for at least two years first. Then it's closer to the Roman Catholic way of doing things- you go through the Bishop and the Diocese, and after 5 years minimum (which may include 3 years of residential seminary) the Bishop ordains you as a transitional deacon. 6 months minimum after that he ordains you priest. It's a whole lot more complicated than this. If you wanna know more, PM me.

wow, cannot believe the finish of that race, amazing!

I really hate it for Dale Jr, he needs the win, and was right there, but ran out of gas at the last turn, then my man Harvick charged through for the win!

As much as I want Harvick to win every race, I was really pulling for him to just get around that wiener denny hamlin and finish second behind Jr, but since Jr ran out of gas I have no mixed feelings being stoked for Harvick.
    Still, heartbreaker for Dale

So wiener (denny hamlin) was not a winner.

    That's the difference in hotdogville!

    How's Your Day? May 30 - June 5, 2011

A week kicked off by Memorial Day for those of us in the USA.

I've just done two reasonably long day hikes the last two days and I'm starting out a little sore for the week. Not to bad, thanks to the running I've been doing, but the up and down of hiking is different when you're not used to it.

Past me, we have several people who continue through uncertain times and I hope this is a good week for all of you. If it is, I'd like to celebrate with you. If not, I'm a shoulder to lean on if you want it.

Good morning everyone. I continue to feel bleh this morning, but at least the edge is off of the headache and I can look at the monitor with both eyes a the same time. So there is a high chance of normality being reached today.

Dang, I didn't expect to find an inspection station open on Saturday, but geez, now none open on a Monday?
You'd think it was a holiday or something......

....okay, I'll go ahead and make the obvious sarcasm obvious - yes, I was joking, I fully expected all the places to be closed today. I'd've been surprised, and disappointed, to have found any open when I called them.

I know there's at least one place I can get my car inspected today, at the car lot my FIL works at, but that entails me making the 30 mile trip in the car with the 3 month out of date sticker...on a holiday, where there will most likely be at least double patrols out...yeah, don't think I'm gonna take that chance :D
