I just got home to find daughter singing from a Glee music book. Yeah... we just watched season 1 of Glee over our sick do nothing weekend.

just finished watching the movie Skyline.

If you haven't seen it, don't. I can't spoil the plot for you because there wasn't one. The special effects were cool. The acting was bad- but it's awful hard to act when there's no plot.

Oh, and the movie doesn't end. It just stopped and the credits started rolling. I think it their special effects budget ran out and they didn't know what else to do. eesh.

can't say I've ever heard of it, but doesn't matter, I'm having too much fun causing nonsense behind the Queen...:D

In other news, my home desktop is evolving into an incredibly sluggish, slow, unresponsive pics of ships, I so badly want to upgrade it or replace it, but neither option is particularly appetizing to me right now.
Either option will cost about the same, heck a new computer may turn out to be cheaper.
The days of build it yourself to save a significant amount of money are long gone. The only way you can save any non-trivial amount of coin by building is if you're going the hard-core gaming route.
For basic usage, the savings, if any, are negligible, and can even come out cheaper with a new machine.

But then I have a good case, and good innards not being used...

    Dilemmas, dilemmas...

    I'm a bit panicked....

okay, so I went and took a look at the outside unit, the lines are frozen over?
What the crap does that mean???

I am far from HVAC trained; however from my experiences, that means your compressor unit is working well, the lines are cold, and it is freakishly humid outside. You might save a little on your bills if you put some insulation on those lines.

Usually when we have those issues it has to do with the inside unit freezing over. Check inside, is there an ice buildup? Ours builds up ice between the intake and the filter. If that is the case then you just have to switch everything off and wait for a thaw. You said you just changed your filter, how bad was the old filter? If it was pretty clogged and the AC had been running, then that may be the cause.

Filter wasn't really bad at all, but it still could've been enough.
Turned the compressor off last night, put the unit fans on though, to keep circulating the air.
    We survived, I guess.
Checked the line earlier when I took the dogs out, it was thawed (probably was an hour after I shut it off), trying it again this AM, we'll see I reckon
