Thanks Danny! I have enjoyed the entire week of shaves with the Mühle R102! It's time to put her away and return to shavette/straight shaving this week.
Wonderful shave Jason. Enjoy the long weekend eh Ah romance. Who loves romance more than Hallmark greeting company and every shopper's drug mart across Canada? Quite disappointed Jason. Fendrihan answered my email within 2 hrs and asked for a pic of top cap . Do I want another piccolo? Yes . I thought it was amazing. Will it peel again? There's a good chance it will from what people who had them are telling me. I may ask for refund and hide that money away for a Karve later . I have a Birthday coming up in March
Looking back , wasn't it worth jumping off the NB train with both feet? Amazing pic and shave Danny. The greeting card companies are the sharks of the industry. 10 bucks to show someone you love them ? Bah! There will probably be Hallmark ads during Shark week. Wouldn't surprise me a bit They responded to my email within 2 hrs asking for a pic of the top cap. Unsure if I want a replacement or my money back now . I'm kinda sitting on the fence on that one.
Monday February 15, 2021 Razor: Gem Junior G3 Blade: Gem (1) Brush: Techichi The Hive Soap: Lakewood SOCP (1508.5 Project) WS23 ADDED AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70 AS 2: Ethos Fresh Lime Fragrance: Scuderia Ferrari Black Here we are and I know there will be plenty of Menthol Monday shaves today. Since I'm working on a 1508.5 project of a soap with no menthol I added some WS23 Powder to the top of the soap before loading. I haven't used this in a long time and forgot a "little goes a long way" with it and have a VERY frozen face now. The Ethos Fresh Lime is a WS23 infused splash that only escalated the effect when it was applied. I got a drama free and sufficiently smooth shave with the new to me Gem Junior G3. Fun little set I saw was a favorite of Fuzzy's. Mine came with the metal handle but I have another uncased and boxed one coming that has the bakelite handle. Nice addition to my SE Razors. Have a GREAT day Folks !!
Thanks, Jason. I really enjoy the all of the Yardley vintage soaps. The Black label and the older wooden bowls are equally great soaps. As far as the aftershaves go (I have never tried the colognes), they are very light and their longevity is short. Now, that works for me, because I am going to wear a stronger cologne anyway. Talc, according to Dr. Mrs. Primo, is not good for you, so my one large container of talc : sits mostly unused. The Seaforth shave soaps are nowhere near the quality of the Yardley. I have only the Seaforth Spiced Lime aftershave and it rivals the vintage Old Spice Lime.
I too have sidelined any talc use and pif'd them all away to a TSD Member. Not even getting into the medical debate. Having breathing/lung issues and seeing the cloud you breath in when applying caused me to cease use. I'm curious as to what the Doc says? Thanks Joseph !
