Wow she's as tall as I am! Yes, I'm vertically challenged.

 

Apologies for whatever bizarre thing happened when I tried to archive the old thread. I did have the new one open in another tab at the time - I'm not sure how that interfered but I'll refrain from doing so in the future.

JoAnna - Thanks for fixing it while I was away.

Justin - Mine isn't growing upward that fast, but certainly is growing in other ways. Yes, that does seem to make the fits both more frequent and more randomly timed.

 

Well, I drew another picture today... kind of a grendel-ly sort of bandersnatch-ish trolly-whomp sort of beast. It's kind of gruesome with creepy hangy flesh and stuff. Felt pretty good to get back to my drawing roots a little.

I'm seriously thinking about going a little further in debt to go buy a new art pad for my computer. I have an old wacom from back in the day, but it requires a serial port (netbook doesn't have a serial port), I loaded up a serial to usb adapter, but there aren't windows 7 drivers for the pad.

That's kind of a bummer. I've gotten so used to working with digital as a medium, I just genuinely prefer it over natural media most of the time.

I posted my cardinal on reddit. What was I thinking? Actually, it's getting pretty decent response and plenty of constructive criticism. I'm also getting some decent advice for dealing with my mild depression. Kind of a surprise, really.

 

I would love to see the new picture. I like the cardinal picture, and I am glad to hear that the reddit community is giving you support as well.

 

That sounds about like a third of your drawings in high school, if memory serves. You ARE returning to the roots.

Today begins day four of a three day tour of ye olde stomach virus. The worst part through last night was the beginnings of caffeine withdrawals from no coffee after three days. That and the dehydration - this is rough stuff people.

Thanks. I'm always amazed at how even the healthy and active among us can go down so quickly. Reminds us of how vulnerable we are, you know?

Just got off the phone with my Mom and she sounds so much better! I really think that looking forward to me coming down is really giving her the boost she needed to get better.

I am looking forward to going to the pharmacy by my work after work picking up some shaving soaps and seeing what else the stock... Then going to the pharmacy close to my house to see what they carry. Funny thing is it is a 2 min walk from my house but never been there.

Unless it is very hot then I might just give up and rub menthol crystals all over my face.
