Glad you are home safe Jeff. Very refreshing and well deserved shave my friend. You must of had a tough, skitterish navigator.

I am not surprised Jason. I just didn't want to admit it to myself. I bought the brush as an impulse purchase. I like the knot but I am meh on the handle. It will be a transplant if I can ever turn anything worthwhile.

Sorry to hear about your weather emergency, Blair! You do like those oversized blades. I have a very rare 8/8 Sheffield stubtail wedge currently residing at the straight razor beauty spa in Sandpoint, ID. That will be the largest blade I’ll ever have shaved with upon its return. I host a regular Zoom call every Monday evening, and I was informed that one of our participants who happens to hail from Georgetown, TX may not be able to attend due to the rolling blackouts. Sounds like you’re well prepared for any weather eventuality! Enjoy your enforced family time!

7-8k watts online. 30 gallons of fuel. We’ll be fine.

All my OCD neighbors were shoveling driveways and sidewalks so their house will look pretty when someone drives by. Who gives a rats patooti. And now several have 5-6 foot mounds of snow in their yard. Snow redistribution?!?

Us? We’ll be warm tonight when the power grid goes down again. We’re now in the middle of the 6th time since 3am today. This time it’s been 2 hours. Wifey and I did make the decision to have all natural gas appliances and furnace back 26 years ago. Fireplace going, stove going (hot chocolate). The yellow generator will run the main furnace system with no issues.

I'm getting pretty close to flipping the Brewed Coffee handsoap from Manhands, and replacing it with Cedar Cabin.

    Thank you Danny.

Danny, I will get it packaged up for you to try. It will be Thursday or Friday before I can get to the post office. The Tatara Masamune was the first one razor they made. It is on the mild side like a Feather DE. The added an OC plate which increased the blade gap but is still pretty mild.

The Nodachi top plate is narrower by 0.13mm which makes it have more blade feel. The Nodachi handle is longer and thicker than the Masamune handle. Below is a table that outlines the key differences.

Thanks Clint and no hurry on getting it out the door. I appreciate the test drive. I cannot guarantee I'll take it but if we get along we will talk.

Hadn’t used my backup in quite a few years. Wouldn’t start. Sent it out. Even though I always use Sta-bil in fuel, still all gummy. Blasted alcohol fuel blends. Then valve rework. When it was all done, I could’ve bought new. Changed over to a Seafoam add too.

    Stay warm.
