You are much more intelligent than I am. I think you can handle it.

We have some friends up that way, Joe. We can be there in about three hours. I worked with a lot of folks whose kids attended IU. Indiana has some great schools. I'm not sure what happened to @Primotenore.

Yes, but next time we'll need to plan that stop in LI for you and @JACarbone to meet us at the place where they serve authentic Stauffer's frozen lasagna and Chef Boyardee pizza.

We looked at a 20k watt full auto unit with propane fuel.

    Much more big dollah!

When I heard the story of how quickly you could empty a 250 gal tank of LP gas, I really learned what ‘much mor big dollah’ was talking about.

I decided the disposable units aren’t too bad for the 5 year event.

The dual fuel jobs are cool. Next time I buy.

Not on your life Charlie. You can have the Stauffer’s and the Chef Boyadee. @Trigger and I will find something authentic. Of course you can opt to join us.

If you ever do stop that way. The Port Jeff Ferry will take you into Bridgeport Connecticut or you can continue east staying on the North Fork of Long Island to take the Orient Pt Ferry to New London which is right at the Conn./ Rhode Island border. In Port Jeff, they have Danford's Hotel and it's next to the Ferry, but kind of pricey. There is a B and B in Port Jeff called the Golden Pineapple. It may still exist. Stony Brook has the quaint Three Village Inn and that is much quieter. That's about 6 miles west of the Ferry. Joe C and I would be able to tell you more being native NY'ers.

The info came from @ischiapp Pierpaolo on a Fine soap thread. Soap by TFS, same formula as Goodfellas Smile I believe he said.

I agree Joe, but I think Charlie is needling us! Carnival, Branchinelli's or Fusilli's would definitely be the better choice. In fact, any pizzeria would be a better choice. Lol!

    When I lived in a Baltimore I had a
friend who was living there for schooling. He was from Phoenix AZ where his dad moved the family shortly after his birth. His dad would work several months in NYC where he was born applying his skilled trade. Then back to AZ for a few months off work.

My friend invited me to his graduation and dinner afterwards. His dad, a full fledged unapologetic NY Italian came down from his current stint in the big town. I was cautioned that his father was very leery of all strangers. I strongly suggested that my friend abandon the steakhouse plans and dine in Baltimore’s Little Italy where, at the time, the rich culture was still thriving.

Once we sat down in the finest choice restaurant that I could think of and the very skilled waitress took over with an appetizer platter specialty suggestion my friend Rich’s father and I were instant friends. Rich said he’d never seen his dad ever take so well to a stranger.

I think I’ve eaten at 2 other restaurants in anywhere near the same class. All were dining opportunities that are increasingly rare where I felt to be somewhere else in time and somehow bonded to a deep experience far beyond food.

I’d bet my life the Long Island Shave Crew could deliver much the same.

I do love Stauffers Lasagna, but it ain’t Italian. Isn’t Stauffers a PA Dutch name?

That's a great story Bill! On Long Island and in NYC there are many good to great Italian restaurants. There are so many pizzeria's that the competition is fierce. If a business doesn't make a decent pizza, then it will not last very long. 5+ million people live in Nassau and Suffolk County (the non NYC part of geographical Long Island). That's a large population that demands good pizza and quite frankly, any other ethnic and American cuisine.

Mos def! I am confident you and @JACarbone would lead us to some wonderful authentic NY style Italian food. My diet would be happily blown on that day. :)

That sounds like a truly memorable time with good friends, Bill. There is no doubt we'd have a wonderful visit, plenty of laughs, and some great food with the LI Shave Crew.

    But I would never pass up a Stauffer's lasagna...or a Hamm's Special Light. ;)

For anyone usually using baby powder or a talc based powder…..and wanting an alternative that works.

Open Amazon’s website with a browser, or use the app.

Use ‘Fresh Body’ for the search entry. Yeah, that first one. Stop laughing.

Or….if you aren’t an Amazon shopper, use your favorite search engine. I like DuckDuckGo.

Keyword search on ‘Fresh Body LLC’ Using DuckDuckGo.com — third link down. Yeah, that one. Stop laughing and click. Link is outdated, but gets one to the correct website.

    :happy102::happy097:

    You’re welcome.
