Thank you Jeff. 13 hours post shave my face is still extremely smooth. This Japanese razor may deliver one of the best shave in my den. I could get away with not shaving tomorrow but I will not miss it. I have not had a day off from shaving in over three years. Enjoy the process too much.

Prep: Warm shower:/Asda Tingly Mint & Tea Tree Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Cien ~ PURE Fragrance Free Sensitive Bar Soap + Nuage Menthol shaving Oil.
Brush: APShave Co. 24mm Cashmere Synthetic.
Face Lather.
Lather : Ach Brito Mogno Shaving Soap.
Blade:Wilkinson Sword Classic. (3)
Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic.

Post:
Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade (~Winter mix~) Lavender + Tea Tree Oil Witch Hazel Mixture./ Williams ~ Aqua Vela ASL. (Spanish Version)/ Creightons ~Sensitive PSB.

The Ach Brito Mogno soap produced a slick protective lather in a short space of time leaving a superb post shave feel..Since i have had the soap the scent has reminded me of a old classic it dawned on me today what it is, Davidoff-Cool water! which is a favourite of mine.

Another enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of Creightons ~Sensitive PSB.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

Thanks Charlie. I've boiled down my standard advice to new converts.

1) Buy one razor. The coolest looking one you can find.
2) Master the usage of that one razor.
3) Stretch the skin.
4) Use tap cold water.
5) Ride the cap or use two spine width angle.
6) Don't shave. Gently use the blade to wipe the lather from the face
7) Alum. The Alum doesn't lie as much as we all do.
8) Don't buy blade samplers... Buy a Schick G, E or J.
9) 4 months later....come over to the Dark Side.
10) Cookies
11) Help others learn your techniques.
12) R-e-l-a-x..... It's just shaving.

No. You must learn to apply correct pressure at a 15-20 degree angle of attack.

Will changing my soap help?

People who master the ability to apply correct pressure at a 15-20 degree angle of attack find that all razors.are kinda the same. That's why they get good results from random razors.

This is thread is not the place for you, or ironically, anyone else if we don't show respect toward one another. This monthly thread is very special. It is the only place I know of in all of web shaving that has no pecking order or structure. Post one is a kickoff from someone that wants the community to continue. I'm not speaking to myself here, The Originals are the guys that have been here pretty much the whole time, however we were all new at one point

This place is a unique place where we build up each member, and we destroy stereotypical web experiences in Tit for Tat nonsense.

It's time that we meditate on the above.
