Nice shave, Barry. I always enjoy your posts.

The term "lazy wind" is a good one. We've had lazy wind here in the Kentucky that past couple of weeks.

    Have a great day.

    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (3)
Brush: DFS LE Nathan Clark Envy White Knot Handle Aluminum Color, Anodized Dark Bronze. #41/150.
    Soap: Ogallala Bay Rum
Aftershave: Ogallala Bay Rum, Limes & Peppercorns
Bowl: Symmetrical Pottery Dark Blue Dottie

One of my favorite shave is with these products. Even though it snowed all night, and it is expected to snow all day a good shave saves the day.

Thank you Dave. The Merica shaves almost identical to the Yates M plate. The finish is stone washed but rougher. The biggest difference is the price. The Merica is $85 with a 100 blades. The Merica was designed and priced to offer an alternative to other shave clubs using cartridge razors.

Thanks Clint, anything I say or post is for me and not a condemnation on other peoples process. We all have to follow what feels good or works for us :happy088:

Oh I know. I’m giving some of my stuff away and using up others. A lot of my stuff were gifts from the ladies, so they will be staying.

Congrats on knocking out the AOS shave cream. I'm glad you dodged the bad weather. It's cold here, but we didn't get all the snow that was predicted, maybe two inches. Have a great day and travel safely, Clint.

I enjoy seeing your variety of gear, Dave. Having 'keep' and 'to go' lists sounds like a good plan. What are your "top 5's" in razors, soaps, creams, etc.?

How were the bourbon hot dogs?

I hope you all dodged the bad stuff too. Now they're talking about the next winter storm on Wednesday night. Be safe.

Figaro Sapone Speciale~~dubl duck #4~~Dovo~~Avon Premiere Luxe Oud
Like I mentioned yesterday, this Dovo and I got intimate with a hard Arkie.
I don't know why I avoid the Arkansas stones, they are fantastic.
Took @Edison Carter advice and lubricated the stone with Dawn and H2O.
My dad always used mineral oil. Not sure if one has an advantage over the other...:signs002:

The dd/Figaro combination worked well to protect my skin and provide plenty of
slickness for the Dovo, whose edge, btw, was MUCH smoother than yesterday.
Was it sharper? I have to say yes. I came as close to a BBS on my neck as I ever do
    with a straight razor.
Tomorrow, I am going to shave the right side of my face with this Dovo
and the left side with the other Dovo. Report to follow.
