MMMMMMM antique stores. I would never make it to the pool if it were me

well, there's only a couple within 10 minutes of me that I'm aware of worth going to.

The Distraction Spoliation Specialists are planning another trip to the Antique Capital of the World (well, at least of the area ) soon, that will be a day-long event, for sure

grrr - Day was going great till my wife told me - "oh yeah I forgot to tell you the battery light and brake light came on in my car yesterday"! I had last evening that I could have worked on the car and now I have to work double shifts the next two days. I figured out the the alternator is bad. Put a meter across the batter and it shows 18.92. It has a built in regulator so that must be what is toast. Just when I saved up some money there it goes - $179.00 plus tax. :mad:

Isn't like grand? Just put brakes on my wife's car all the way around, replaced 2 rotors, and now two weeks later we find out her battery needs replaced, too :mad:

That is how it goes. When one thing brakes :happy102 there is soon a couple things to follow.

Yay! it is summer break. . . woo hoo...

OK, now to get to work on all those things I have been procrastinating on for the last few months...

OH... I would have been checked out at school an hour earlier, but that cracktop crashed again so I had to re-create some of my already finished end of the year paperwork. blah..... Please let there be a water leak or something in my room so that they have to replace the POS.

well, what a morning...

shortly after announcing my plans here earlier, I grabbed my phone and realized I had some new emails from work - new server's down.

Uggh, what the crap....so, here I go, first Friday off of the summer, and I'm off to work (this is becoming all too much a trend lately - first day of Spring Break I had to go in, there was another off-day since then I had to go in for...).
Fortunately it was a quick fix, the BIOS was set to boot to SATA, not the RAID controller, and when the regional service center tech was logged in working on stuff that needed a restart, he was stuck.
Clickety clickety, all sorted.

Finished other items of business, then made it to an antique store I've been wanting to go to for several months now, yes, the same one Micah and his TWGW went to recently.
I already knew from his report that there were some red tip superspeeds (anyone need a red tip superspeed? ), but also several others.

I'll post pics of my acquisitions later, wife and kids waiting on me for a swimming trip

ugh... Shedd lost another calf.. this time a white sided Dolphin... (lost a beluga last year)....

That sucks. I take it Shedd's a cow? Hope she's all right.

Sorry... Shedd is the big Chicago Aquarium. They just posted that they lost the Dolphin calf that was born on the 3rd. We were planning on taking a Shedd trip next week to see the calf.

Tique (the mom) is doing OK from what I have gathered.

Wow... the Brazilian Steakhouse was something. Lots of meat, lots of good meat, lots of good meat that I lost track of what all of it was called. But it was good. Now, to crash someplace and digest.

I went to the doctor this morning after a week of sickness.

I have a sinus infection, of course. You should have overheard the conversation as I tried to discuss with the doc the coloration and ascetic qualities of the slimy oily green gunk that I've been hacking up. I got a steroid shot and a round of antibiotics for my trouble. Maybe I'll recover fully soon. Right now, I sound like a bronchitis patient who's smoked four packs a day for thirty years with a voice like Carrie Fischer with a hangover. :signs113

Well, this stuff just likes to hang around. I have had it, all my coworkers have had it. It is the pits! I hope you are feeling better soon.

Yeah the bottom looks like a long tooth NEW with a bar handle. However, I am not going to say 100% on the long tooth, sometimes cameras can trick you.
