    Another couple thoughts.....

Totally get clearing the snow for a doctor's appointment, that's a reason! Us....well, we have two OMG big 4x4 trucks. One is my 22.5 year old F250 diesel that I just don't want to give up. The other is a recently inherited 2016 4x4 RAM 2500 dad bought back then at 79 years old (and now can't drive). Mom said he bought it cause I'd never sell him my truck. We've kept his cause I take Dad to all his doctor appointments in it, and he enjoys it. Once he's at a point of having trouble getting in/out (it is factory lifted, and on 20" tires), it's history. The RAM has the smallest gasser available, so it's mileage, the space shuttle probably does better. But...it's awesome for this mess, and I strategically parked it so it's easy to do what's needed.

Great job on some new wet shaving recruits, always a good thing!

Nothing wrong with being a wing nut....we hold it all together :eatdrink047:. It's those few loose screws and odd ball cannons that drive ya crazy, got one of those next door. But, most in our neighborhood are the typical type that think good coffee is at *bucks, and good food happens at a drive through. I've seen drive thru's the past couple days with 30+ cars in line!

Me? We have power....time to fire up the Sous Vide! :eatdrink023:

    Ooh, watcha cooking?

In my neighborhood we have children that walk to bus stops, neighbors, some elderly that need to get to the corner mailboxes etc. Clearing snow is a fact of life here.

I use tung oil on all the handles I turn. Safe and makes them impermeable to water .

Glad to see you're getting through this Blair . Hopefully it warms up good and the power stays on.

Not a big fan of cremes either Joe but some are better than others. Try that blade sometime. Its actually pretty decent :)
I think they expect me to pay return shipping. This is boiling to be a showdown . :angry021:

We're 300 yards (maybe) from the elementary school the girls went to. I walked 'em, along with several of the neighbors' kids, every day. I've been the work at home dad since the early 2000's. Mailboxes, maybe 60 feet out from the front doors. Typical suburbia, houses ~40' apart.

Clearing snow just isn't a thing here (except for the northerner imports :))...everything instead shuts down. Store shelves get wiped of things like bread and eggs. Monday was a holiday when all this hit....schools announced late Sunday they were closed til today. Last night....another announcement schools are closed til next Monday. Metropolitan Texas isn't prepped for this stuff at all.

Sous Vide plan.....I do the typical thing people complain about, and alter the recipe. Chicken breasts in the Sous Vide, set at 145F, ~2 hours with salt and pepper. Then....I use the sauce recipe below, as a finish. After the sous vide bath, the chicken breasts are cut in thirds, and briefly seared (both sides) in a searing hot cast iron skillet. The sauce is poured on for the last 90 seconds or so of the sear. Not keto though, but the family loves it. Side dishes are fresh green beans, home made corn bread.

    Here's the original recipe:

That sounds delicious, Blair. I just googled low carb honey and it's a thing. Most definitely going to give this a try.

Time to earn the wing nut card.....this image is on the hood of my F250, looking towards the driver side of the windshield. The snow bump where the mirror should be (it's folded in), is wifey's Escape. Still 24F outside, snow is 6-8" deep depending on where one cares to measure.

Zingari Man SS, ASB & RS - The Wanderer (Barbershop)
Ever Ready 100 w/synthetic flat top
    Monobilt
    Treet Super Stainless

3 passes, no issues. BBS results from the Monobilt (@jtspartan inspired today). It is a super efficient OC razor, has a smaller sweet spot for growth obliteration than I remember, been too long since I've used it. Zingari Man sego based soap....just an awesome lather this morning, so fragrant with an awesome slick face feel. For anyone who is familiar with the previous base that Wholly Kaw used (and still offers), this soap is very similar in texture/lather, but starts lathering sooner/easier. Quick palmful of the unscented after shave balm (a super slick cream), followed with the matching barbershop 'Recovery Splash'. Heather (the formulator at ZM) calls it a recovery splash, as there's no alcohol (which she doesn't like, as it dries the skin). ZM's splash is witch hazel based. Wifey approved aroma for 'round the house' activities. :happy108:

Hope everyone has an awesome rest of Wednesday!
