Thank you Dave. That soap is some slick stuff. Perhaps I will wait to pick up the SOCP when the new base is released.

Dave in KY On second thought, Buttercup

I'd be happy to send you a sample to kill it sooner but pretty sure the scent isn't as good this far into it :D Mr Powell's was nice but I got tired of it. Smokeberry is pretty special to me. Had probably 3 others that escape me now.

I would be more that happy to try a sample. I have heard many nice things about Smokeberry as well. Lee Powell, whom the Mr. Powell’s Honey Mash is named after, is one hell of a nice guy.

Thanks Patrick! Shaving outside? I have done that on occasion. Of course, this morning, it was kind of the same. Our bathroom outside walls were ~36F (that's on the INSIDE of the house). One of the things we did to help stay warm was isolate into the main room, which only has 1 outside wall. That room stayed in 49-52 degrees through out the 41 hours with no power (outside temps from 8F to 20F). All the perimeter rooms varied a few degrees from 36-40F. Not trying to dramatize, it's just what it was. There are still millions without power, and didn't have the power resource we have to stay warm. It's a mess. Many cities, malls, schools, churches, have set up 'warming centers', where you can bring the family to just get warm. Bring your own food, devices to charge, blankets, cots, etc. and 'camp out' the cold weather.

Historically TX has been average with energy costs versus the rest of the US. But, being it’s own power grid is a huge part of the problem. I've read a ton about it (not much else to do). Here's a sample:

    https://www.texastribune.org/2021/02/16/natural-gas-power-storm/

And…..while I was typing this on the computer, power gone again. 2:45pm. Exactly 6 hours. Generator running again, just barely got a chance to top oil off.
