Thank you Jason. A lot of the UK shave soaps have a similar scent I find hard to describe.

    Razor: Blackland Blackbird
    Blade: Wizamet (2)
Brush: Teton "Bob Ross" Zen Series
    Soap: Lakewood SOCP (1508.5 Project)
    AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
    AS 2: Ethos Fresh Lime
    Fragrance: BVLGARI Aqva Amara

Kudos to Joe @JACarbone for accepting the offer of a sample of Sweet Orange Chili Pepper which brings this project closer to completion. I owe ya man ! Nice lather and another successful run with the Blackbird. 2 passes and on the 2nd pass I was being careful around yesterdays scar catch and I could feel it slightly try to catch it where it did yesterday. 3rd pass on the neck and some overall touch ups and called it a win. During the shave I was thinking, I don't need this razor as I wouldn't use it much. After the shave and feeling it's efficiency I was thinking maybe I should get it after all. By the end I had concluded the experiment done. I will get this back to Eric with much gratitude for the chance to use it. Final thoughts are it is an amazingly smooth shaver if you pay close attention and will reward you for that. Stop paying attention and she is a cruel mistress that will bite you and hard. I can shave with it but prefer relaxing near mindless shaves that can be had with similar or better results with other tools. Thanks again Eric.

Got another dusting of snow overnight that is supposed to transition to rain today so the closer to 3 inches than the 6 that was on their upper end guesstimate will be gone at some point today I presume. Don't think we got the ice they thought would accompany the snow and rain. Have a great day everyone !!

Wonderful shave report and photo Barry. Thanks for reminding me on the shave stick. I have several that I don't reach for nearly often enough.

Excellent shave report and photo Dave. I will use my brass Blackbird soon so I can decide if it's a keeper or not.

Thanks Clint. I can see why some love it. Beautiful razor and great shaver, just not a keeper for me with my new mindset on how much stuff to have.

Happy Thursday already. I am a 3 and done guy on DE blades so this will be the last shave with the Merica razor. You would think I would be tired of shaving creams but I just felt the need to reach for the La Toja. The stuff just flat works for me and I adore the mineral salty scent. Three passes and touch ups ended in another automatic drama near BBS shave. I didn't buff my lower right neck which let the little guy escape. Swati leaves today for a long weekend visiting our daughter Asha in Tampa. So I will be playing bachelor when I return home this evening. The recurring headaches and dizziness have been a never ending problem and frustration. I have a CT scan tomorrow and an appointment with the Neurologist next week. I hope I can get some answers for the situation. I hope everyone has a great Thursday.

I can appreciate your thoughts completely. I really wanted a black oxide finish Blackbird but ordered the brass since the black was not in stock. One of my problems is trying to keep the brass clean. If I decide the Brassbird stays, then I will antique the razor so I won't need to worry about polishing it.

Thank you Joseph. I am just hoping for no really bad news from the scan tomorrow. Right now I am sitting here with a massive headache, dizzy and nauseous. I am waiting for this to pass where I can try to drive to work.

Great shave Clint. Jimmy at DFS had a black one for sale that looked filthy but some said that was the nature of that finish. I think you're better off with the brass and antiquing it, Man I hate that you're dealing with struggle and hope they can get you some relief quickly.

New addition to the den....well not necessarily new. It has been in the den for about a month and half. This is the first shave with the Razorock Eco that I picked up used off of the Bay. Eco on the left. Big brother Hawk V2 on the right.
    20210218_062652.jpg

The shave just fell into place with no drama, cuts or nicks. I really like the Eco.

Great lather this morning and a new 1/2 Astra SP in the Eco. Three very nice and smooth passes. The Eco handles great and delivers a very nice shave....impressive little razor.

A little Witch Hazel followed by the Pinaud Clubman Aftershave Lotion. Oh.....yeah!

Hope everyone has a great Thursday!
