I have. Floïd Blue, of which I still have 2 1/2 bottles. That one has sadly been discontinued, although folks say that Epsilon https://www.maggardrazors.com/product/epsilon-blue-mediterranean-aftershave-splash-100ml/ is an acceptable substitute. Mentolado Vigoroso is also quite good. I love the combination of menthol and baby powder...not all feel like I do.
I am feeling weak in the knees. Like when a pretty Asian girl smiles at you..... And it hasn't even been one month yet! No way I am going to make it. Tedolph
I may have DQ'd...I bought a stone holder for my 12k Naniwa SS. It is shaving related so I don't really know if it counts since its more of a utility item.
Trying hard to stay on the wagon. I inventoried my shave den today to convince myself that I don't need anymore stuff. Here is what I have. Consumables: 4 save soaps/creams (one hard soap, two croaps, one tube of cream); 5 after shave lotions; 15 Feather blades for a Valet Auto Strop SE razor; 1 tube of red Chrome-ox paste; and, 1 bottle of electric pre-shave. Non-Consumables: 3 razors (one straight, one single edge, and one electric for between shave touch ups); 1 lather bowl; 1 antique shave scuttle; 2 brushes (one boar bristle, one synthetic); 1 shave towel; 2 strops; and, 1 sharpening stone. I think that is all. I pretty much rotate the consumables so most of them are maybe 1/4 gone. Oh, I also have a Dopp travel kit with one of pretty much each of the essentials listed above. I wet shave every other day so I think I have enough consumables to last for maybe three years before I would have nothing left. Is my estimate correct? Tedolph
No! Those stones are razor only stones! I still don't feel out though, I already had the stone its for and I could use it without the holder.
With the straight razor and soaps you're probably good. Add in the electric, and yeah, definitely. But, if you wanted to use the SE more, you'd need more blades, which IMO, isn't a violation to purchase. And...I wouldn't be so worried about 'falling off the wagon' for a NB on shave purchases. As things go, it's not even a needle in the haystack of life.
Tough one. We never really defined or set a limit for “shave related”. Based on that, I would say you’re out. However, we never really defined shave related. You didn’t acquire a razor, soap or blades, or anything that directly contributes to your shaves. Based on that, I say that we leave the decision to you. How’s that for a response?
