Agree, Joe. Shave sticks always help me get a nice lather in the shortest period of time. I almost always carry one in my travel kit. If I'm traveling and short on time, I can apply soap with the shave stick and work up a serviceable lather by applying water with my hands. My bare bones travel kit is a DE or Trac II razor, blades, shave stick, and a small container of shea butter. Most of the time, I'll also take a synthetic brush. I picked up some solid cologne as a freebie with a blade purchase last year, so that's going in my travel kit too.

 

My Dad's friend had a 60's VW camper van, and I thought it was cool. I've admired the humorous VW print ads for years.





I bet it would be fun to have one of these vintage vans. I love how they look.

That razor must have a flat spot on the back of the handle..... Great report and combination Barry! And...I've got to dig out my shave sticks, I have 3, 2 purchased long ago @clint64 enabled, and another from the 30DC 2020 traveling box. Hmm...maybe tomorrow.

Yeah....wish that could happen, $ prevails or skews data in most aspects nowadays, hard to get to the real data. Based on my health situation, I'll get a C-19 vaccine, much like I do for flu and pneumonia. I've also gotten comfortable with the fact I'll probably wear a mask, and social distance the rest of my (hopefully many) years any time I am indoors not at my home, or when at a gathering outside.

Thanks Gentlemen! We're through the worst of it for at least (hopefully) another decade. Now it's just thaw out for the next few days. 10 years seems to be the cycle for this level of a weather event for our region, save for the 2009 then 2011 anomaly.

Thanks Blair! It's true that I am nearing 250 shavettes shave, but I also have 240 traditional straight razor shaves and thus I am approaching 500 open blade shaves. Right now, the number is 486.
