    Razor: G.E. Jones Shake Sharp
Blade: Wizamet Double Stacked Blades (3?)
    Brush: Eric Sorrentino Cocobolo/Cashmere
    Soap: Lakewood SOCP (1508.5 Project)
    AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
    AS 2: Ethos Fresh Lime
    Fragrance: N/A

So I went in yesterday to work by noon after clearing the driveway of the white stuff and worked till 8 when I drove home (with more white stuff flurrying) so I have today off = GREAT. Yesterday while working my wife texted me and asked why when the Washing Machine drained water came up in the shower = Not Great. My conclusion without being able to be there and physically inspect is it's time for the septic tank to be pumped = slight inconvenience. Calling pump guy and being told they haven't been working due to the weather and I'm number 8 in line and it may be some day next week = MAJOR inconvenience. Asking who he recommends and being told the other guy is in the same shape = Monumental Inconvenience. Oh well, what are you gonna do. Improvise and overcome is all you can do at this point. So that brings me to the shave for today. We can remain civilized after all, can't we.Since we can't have water going down our drains and bringing nasty stuff up other drains, I used a basin filled with water that I set in the sink. A 2 pass Shake Sharp shave was had with the products listed above and I'm ready for my coffee and a Pumpkin Chocolate Chip muffin until it gets daylight and warmer to inspect more closely and confirm my suspicions of the problem. Then I'll call him back and give him "what for" telling him that he needs to get off his lazy butt and go to work and quit allowing a little cold weather to slow him down and the wheels of prog........................................who am I kidding. I'll either call him and beg him to come pump the tank or wait patiently. What else can ya do. We have our necessities. Too often we are spoiled and take for granted that switches when flipped will provide electric lights, cooking, heat/air etc. Water taps when turned will provide us clean water and drains will take it all away. Being prepared for when these things fail (because the will and do) and improvising to function is all you can do at that point. Have a great day everyone, I'm going to !!

"When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. When life gives you crap, don't make anything." TRUST ME ON THIS :D

Deleted your post I guess @9nein9 I was going to say congrats on raising a bright daughter and if you can paint a car like that you should paint that top cap to a color of your choosing :happy088:

Ah . The dreaded septic tank . People here complain about the cost of city water and sewage. I remind them that if they were to have a septic tank and well water the costs can be much higher when things go wrong. Pulling foot valves , thawing lines , broken pipes , digging frozen ground to access clean outs .Been there done that . No thanks. I'll pay the price for constant flow .
Enough about that . I am sitting here envious of your pumpkin chocolate chip muffin and your wonderful shave today as I slurp my coffee and do laundry duty . Have a good day and hope you get the situation rectified in a timely manner Dave :)

My daughter drives a VW Jetta . It's over 15 years old now and still has most of the original steering and suspension parts. We just replaced the turbo a month ago and I freshened the paint this summer for her . It was silver but she wanted it darker. She is studying to be an engineer btw . Though you'd like to hear that ;)

Thanks, Blair. I used to jump on the NB bandwagons, but constantly fall off. I got tired of failure, so I chose the opposite and I am a HUGE SUCCESS!!!

Thanks Dave. I am very proud of her . I never thought of doing anything with the piccolo again after all the headaches they gave me until Danny mentioned fixing the head . Now I may give it a second look.

Dave I am sorry about your septic tank issues. They can be a huge inconvenience. We had to have a septic field replaced in our first home.

Patrick, I would take a soft cloth and something like Maas polish and go over the head. I bet that takes off the rest of the clear coat. I would use the razor without the clear coat and see how well the gray finish holds up.

Thanks Clint. This whole system was installed a year after we we moved here so only 9 years old. Pretty sure it just needs pumped. If city sewage was an option we'd consider it but it's not an option in the rurals.

Oh I understand. I grew up in the country and we had a septic tank. Plumbing problems are just a pain period.

I just thought with the clear coat off you could enjoy the razor. If the other finish wears off you will still have a brass razor head.
