Great shave, Joe! I've done an open edge head shave with my DX. Takes too long! I prefer my safety razors on the dome! Haven’t shaved the mug with a safety razor in some time! Oh well!

Happy Saturday everyone. I took the opportunity to sleep in this morning and honestly I have just been pretty lazy thus far. I decided to stay with the Every-Ready 1912 for today. I did break out the Cade shaving cream and balm for today's shave. The Butterscotch "Soap Destroyer" did a wonderful job whipping up a rich slick lather. The scent of the Cade shaving cream is stronger to my nose than the scent of the soap. Otherwise both work very well for me. Three passes and touch ups managed to catch the baby today. My carbon steel fry pan was delivered and I have started the seasoning process. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.

Thank you, Joe! I really enjoy this scent.

    From WCS:

Barrister and Mann are releasing this O, Delight! scent for winter 2020. It is a bright, sweet citrusy aroma inspired by the Turkish delight candy abundant around the holidays. Notes of lemon, honey, orange flower, hazelnut, apricot, & nutmeg. A bright aroma for a dark time of year.
    Thanks, Jeff!
Been a great morning. Ran some errands and got a nice walk in. Gray clouds rolling in now though. They're predicting rain and snow this evening.

Nice shave, Clint. The 1912 looks to be in excellent condition, and a butterscotch handle is quintessential Simpson.

Congrats on the new cookware. Between you, @jluc, and @b1hart, I got curious and did some investigation. This is how stuff happens. :) We've always had cast iron cookware (most days we use Calphalon), but I was unaware of the benefits of carbon steel. I will follow the adventures of my three favorite 30DC chefs with knife and fork in hand.

Good plan to be lazy today. You deserve it. I hope it is a good day for you. We just feasted on BBQ chicken and rice, and an afternoon nap seems likely here in the hills.

@9nein9 I don't know what quintessential means. It was just a big word that @Primotenore hasn't used this month. There ain't too many of 'em left, so I was stuck with this one.

That scent description sounds wonderful, Jim.

It looks like you've had a fantastic day so far. You don't appear to need much of a MOLC break-in period!
