Or if i were in your shoes... you would be shoeless? :D

there are so many options with bikes like razors. But deffinently go to the local bike shop and get sized for a bike. Will help you out significantly. Much better on your joints if it fits you better. Not to mention how much easier it makes it to bike.

it's a vintage 3-speed. Got it for riding around Madison, WI. Have never used it in LA. Don't see that changing when we go further south. I'm not in a place to be able to transport it closer to you. If you do want it you're gonna have to come get it, which with gas + time factored in means it would cost as much as a decent brand new bike.

+1000. I did this for the bike I currently have and it made a huge difference.

Yessir it is very important. Some people think its hard on knees but that is only if your seat is too high or too low.

You should buy a fixy. You would be the coolest guy around. Get a Fixy BMX all the kids be jealous of your bumping ride :D.

If you need some help online or choosing one for you or anything just shoot me a Pm I will try to help... try. :happy102

Definitely check out Berringer's. It's out on the Nash side of Texarkana, near where Joy's Cinema used to be. He used to carry quite a few used bikes, and for around $200, he could likely set you up with something. We should get you set up and start a riding group, I might be able to round up another rider or two... the problem is finding someone who rides at our level of fitness--(end of the driveway and back--whew, I'm done!)

Wow... I forgot how expensive model rockets supplies can get. Daughter needs to build a level 1 rocket. No problem, its a $10 kit. But wait, add in engines, wadding, sealant, etc. etc. etc... She will need a fin guide... adds up to a lot of ouch. I hope she continues building these things or I am going to have to just to use up the investment.

    Cool...

Noticed a friend on facebook has been listing a lot of things on Ebay, and sharing them on facebook. I know his mom passed away in the last year or so, his dad several years ago, and so it looks like knick-knacks and stuff that you'd find in an estate sale.

I've been meaning to ask him if he had any vintage shaving stuff that he was listing/going to list/had listed, but never got around to it.

Just noticed last week he had two auctions that had ended that day...one for 3 straights, and one with 3 DE's and 2 SE's, a brush and an Old Spice mug.

A few messages later, and I'm on my way after work to pick them up.
Yeup, lives right here in town with me, in fact we go to the same church...what would have been funny would be had I actually bid and won on one of the auctions, not knowing who it was until the end :D

Anyhoo, kinda excited...and no, unfortunately, he's not just giving them to me, as much as he'd like to, he had to quit his job in the last year due to disability, so they need the money (who doesn't), but they are his father and grandfathers gear, so that's kinda cool that he knows where they'll be and that they'll be well taken care of.

    Just thought I'd share

    Nice story...

Also I think that particular pool of a previous discussion was in fact the last one of that type, which is why (I think) we got a reduced price on it. Could be mistaken though; I wasn't really paying attention when we bought it.

[slash]Uggh, looks like I'm going to New Boston tonight, then Vivian tomorrow....bleh[/slash]

Neverthemind, guess I'm hitting them tomorrow...which kinda pisses me off, blowing my whole day off pretty much. This is my fourth Friday off and I ain't had a single one yet to do anything on my agenda of needs, much less want-to-dos....

Oh well, anyone want a ride with me? :D

Prolly heading out around 10, 10:30. Going to Neaux Bahstuhn for salt water pump stuff, and Vivian for the pool, pending phone calls to verify the website is correct....it's been known to be inaccurate before

Well.. took care of a lot of stuff while I was school. Swapped some kids into level 1 science/8th grade biology track, sent another set of messages to IT department to find out what they want done with the adoption laptops, straightened out some things with the textbook adoption, got daughter's schedule, walked her around to her classrooms (OMG, she going to be in my building next year), got questions about the new hair style from everyone I ran into, couldn't get in daughter's locker, eventually, found out the entire bank of lockers that her locker is in is messed up and will have to be reset...

    fun fun fun....

Headache/eye ache on left side of head is still throbbing. Oh well.. time to get to the paint fumes.

Oh... just leaving this here for now..

Justin - that picture isn't showing for me.

I'm home a little early for having to drive back from the plant. Second Friday I've been in charge of the plant for the day. Thankfully it was rather uneventful.

The wife and daughter get back later from an out of town trip. I'm going to go get the last few things around the house done so we can enjoy the weekend. That is whenever I can drag myself away from TSD.
