Congrats on the better shave today, Paul.

In my opinion, whatever you decide regarding the Red Tip is the right choice. Aside from the Aisle 12 gals, your safety is the top priority. Use whatever razor gives you a safe shave and the most joy, my friend. With focus, a DE razor should become easier to use, but you know yourself better than anyone here.

I'm glad you have a birth quarter razor for your collection. I've got a handful of birth quarter razors that mostly sit on the shelf, but I'm glad I have them.

My goodness, it's the 23rd already. How about a poll update?

Hope you have a good day. We're heading for the 50s today. I will take it. :)

@jtspartan, those 30 consecutive Tabac shaves will be leisurely 4-passers, right? It seems only fair, and you folks north of the border are known for your kindness.

Don't let your countrymen down. ;)

Upon request from the Man From Kentucky(and also, now that I think of it, since I haven't done this for a while, )here's your current update for the February poll/survey: I think I already projected "Mix It Up&Shave With Anything I Want" as the winner, with 14 votes, twice as much as the second-place shaver who we shall call "Ludicrous Polls"(why the nerve of that guy!!), with 7. The only excitement for now is that there's a 4-way tie for last place, all with zero votes as of now. Hey, you 4, there's kind of a race going on, y'know? Care to compete in the thing??? My goodness.

    Proraso Shave Soap - Red
    Feather AC DX
    Schick Proline
    Simpson Trafalgar T3
Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements ASB & AS/C - Malbolge

Proraso's shave soap and the T3, awesome fragrant face lather, made on the wet side, suds flying fun. Super nice and almost mindless shave with the DX this morning, 3 passes, no irritation or crimson issues. Palmful of PAA's Star Jelly followed by a favorite tobacco fragrance, Malbolge.

Malbolge...unfortunately another aroma from PAA that's no more. Wish I had known, I'd have a backup or two. It's a super fragrant blend of tobacco, citrus, anise, musk, patchouli, burnt sugar, black pepper & benzoin resin. My nose definitely picks out tobacco, resin, with hints of the anise/pepper. A little lasts hours and hours for my skin chemistry. If one is familiar with the typical tobacco and vanilla dupes (PAA Cavendish, A&E Tabac de Vanille, Stirling's Haverford), Malbolge is a close cousin, slightly darker, sweeter aroma with a hint of citrusy pepper. Mahogany from WSP is another close cousin to Malbolge, but lacks the pepper/resin notes.

Hope everyone has a Terrific Tuesday!

    Good morning!

Terrific Tobacco Tuesday shave! Three passes for near BBS. Silent alum everywhere except a small hotspot under my chin just left of the goatee. I'll pay closer attention to that area tomorrow.

Upper fifties forecast today and two to six inches of snow predicted for tomorrow. I'll get out today and do some cooking on the flattop. The little granddogs spent the weekend with us so I'll need to clean-up the little reminders they left behind as well.

    Have a great day!
