Great report young man . Must be all the Brut keeps you looking young. I thought the Piccolo had a weird angle but that thing is just crazy. Enjoy your day Dave :)

That's a great shave and snow free pic Clint. I would just grate that soap and never worry about the spinning puck again:)

that's awesome..enjoy..i'll have to go back to work at some point but it won't be the rat race i was used to.planning better work life balance.although covid was the cause of my job loss i have kept the bills paid and survived for a year on a smaller income.still bought an item or 2 as well.the year long "sabbatical" or house arrest as some call it has allowed mass de-stressing and bill reductions..i am looking forward..:)

That's great that you were able to take a year long break.
It's the work life balance that was getting to me. As I'm getting older my time away from work has taken priority. The eighty-four hour work weeks were taking a toll on me mentally. I was grumpy a lot, that's not like me.

I have the Guilty and I love it . Also bought a Stirling soap dupe to match the fragrance. Great shave Primo :)

Practice with the Red tip without a blade may get you more accustomed to the weight and feel of the razor whist practicing your grip. I know people say it's not the same as using a blade in it but who cares . I'm just trying to help you best I can Paul and am no professional but I've shaved with some pretty imaginable stuff and am a firm believer you will eventually have success with the DE razor. If you would like I will send you the Wilkinson sword TTO I have here . It is milder and has a longer handle which may help you to learn the DE better . Take care :)

Beautiful pic Pierpaolo. I see the ring of death appeared . Only 100 more shaves left in that tub;)

Really sorry to hear about the continuing furlough! When I was working I certainly didn’t want to be forced to sit at home! After the Covid vaccine threshold has been reached, things should improve. Good luck on the VC4 search. They can be had quite reasonably here on EBay US. I hope the same is true for the UK version. :(

    Feb 23 SOTD

Good morning gentlemen I decided to do an above the shoulder shave today. I videod the headshave to see if I got the blocking right. My intention was to put it on YouTube but I got a weep and a minor cut on the back of my dome and decided not to do so. I considered it a practice run I just did 2 passes for a socially acceptable headshave. Cremo was my slick medium
for the shave. When I do my next headshave, I will use a soap instead.

The mug shave went much better. I facelathered the Arko for a nice, wet lather. Did 2 passes and surprisingly got a weep on my upper right check. It didn't need any extra attention during or after the shave. Near BBS was achieved with a touchup on my right neck. Personna blades are über sharp so I expected to shed some blood. Fortunately, it was superficial and not serious. Finished with the Dickinson's, Nivea and then a splash of the Pinaud Clubman Classic aftershave. Below is the shave itinerary:

    Shavette shave #249
    Dovo shavette
    Personna Hairshaper Blade (1)
    Stirling Boar Brush
    Arko SS
Cremo Sandalwood (Headshave and not pictured)
    Dickenson's Witch Hazel
    Nivea ASB
    Pinaud Clubman Classic AS
    Facial Whiskers 41 hrs
    Dome bristles: 2.5 days?

Have a great day guys! 20210222_201042.jpg
