Another great shave with the Supply. I got an exceptional lather with this old Strop Shoppe soap, which isn't always the case to be honest. I had the Black Tie in their original non-tallow formula and really found it a substandard lather (full disclosure- it was NOS, but maybe a soft artisan soap isn't supposed to last 7 years before opening) but a very nice scent. This tallow version is usually 'ok' for lather in what some (well, Stirling anyway) consider to be an iconic scent. This may be a puck that benefits from consistent use. I think I have found my replacement for the Cool in a 3017 focus. 2 days a week should be sufficient and it will take me a long while. 2 out of 6 shaves a week? I guess that makes it a 1035.7 focus...
These Prolines are very smooth blades. The Supply is an easy way to use them too, as you don't have to fiddle with getting them into an injector cartridge. For those of you who don't have one- there is an injector slot in the head of this SE, but you can just loosen the nut a bit and easily get a blade in without needing an injector.
Finished with the Stirling homage. I enjoy it- less powdery, more tart that the original.
    Have a great day all!

Wow ! Great video Dave . Nice splay on that knot . Good to see that razor in action. Pretty cool how the handle attaches. I kinda like the brass handle myself . Shows character . Have a great day :)

Nice setup Pierpaolo. Lovely pic :)

Awesome shave Clint. Great pic . Good luck at the Doctor today :)

Terrific Tabac shave Danny. Sounds like you are excited about this " summer " weather. Can't say I blame you :)

Thanks Danny. Still haven't knotted it yet. Sigh:(. Looking for a completely black synthetic knot for it now .

Great shave Jason. Never seen or heard of that soap before . Might help to stir it up a bit as it may revive it. 7 years is a long time :)

Superb sandalwood shave Matt. I have that soap and I love it :)

Sorry, Patrick, I probably wasn't clear enough in my description. This particular tub hasn't sat for 7 years. It came from Perry in a PIF a few years ago and I have used it on and off since. The soap that sat for 7 years or so was a puck of their original non-tallow formula (Black Tie) that I found NOS at Winners 2 years ago or so.
I wasn't actively looking for Artisan soaps in 2012, but my understanding is that Strop Shoppe was one of the original scent-forward, soft soap, small batch Artisan shave soap makers that we have a ton of now. Back then, it was the big British makers, quite a few from the Continent, and the large scale North American makers (ie Williams) until a few folks like this one started making their own bases and scents. Others who were more active in the scene then will have better info, I'm sure.

Thanks, Patrick. I'll definitely get some more TOBS someday, but most likely a different scent. Not that there's anything wrong with this one, it's just that I'm in my mid-30s and it seems to be more suitable for someone in his mid-130s. ;)

Sorry that was my fault for not reading more closely. I started keeping my soaps and aftershaves in a cooler dark place now to hopefully help them survive the long rotations. And to think not long ago I only had a handful of shaving gear:D

I have the Eton college and the Platinum Collection from ToBS also. Got the Platinum on sale (it's kinda pricey) but the Eton college is reasonable . Both are awesome scents in my opinion :). I am 50 but gave my younger nephew some and he said he loved the scents .

Is your tech a pre-war 'triangle slotted' one, Joseph? I googled a translation for this scent, and apparently Oodh Malaki translates to Oud Malarkey, which I assume is a synonym for Synthetic?
Apart from that bad joke, the shave and scent sound outstanding, Joseph. Did you seek out this scent in particular, or were you searching for authentic Oud scents?
