It was my first, and it was fantastic! Happened to be from a great in-state brewery as well.

Wowser, good luck to you on that.
I've never heard of that site either, but I'll definitely add it to my currents of newegg, zipzoomfly, and of course, Amazon.

I really need to do some major upgrades to my rig, everything but an additional 2 Gigs of RAM are 8 years old
That's why I'm not too pumped to "upgrade", I'd pretty much be building a new machine by the time I was through, and anymore it's almost as cheap to buy a pre-built machine as it is to build (except for the fun of it), unless you're building a high-end gaming rig, you can save big bucks in that scenario.

Pool is up, filling with water, salt's already in so it can be dissolving.

    What. A. Day.

BIG, HUGE thanks to my family for helping out so much, my brother in law, my dad, my sister, my son even helped, a lot, and mom and wife even helped some.

    Ready for a nap....

We watched Howard the Duck last night. (coincidentally, it's available on Netflix instant, though we watched the dvd.) I still contend that the greatest special effect in that movie was Lea Thompson in her underwear.

Jeffrey Jones is entirely underrated as an actor. It's a shame he's a pedophile.

    A) been itching to pull the trigger and watch that again, just haven't done so yet (same with They Live)

    B) You sir, are most correct! :D

Reminds me of a scene from Transformers 3 the other night....:D

my day today was pretty good. I got a free lunch, played my guitar, and I just finished eating PB and J sandwhiches for dinner and had a nice Imported Belgian beer to drink, and while doing all that I was here on The Shave Den and watching Diamonds Are Forever, one of the Sean Connery James Bond films so yes today was a good day, and I had an excellent shave to start my day off to boot too!

I tried the egg in toast thing today.

I now know how I will forever fix my eggs and toast from this day forward.

Started off so far with a great shave and a good cup of coffee. Now off to work!
Can't say I'm trilled about that, but oh well it just a fact of working in foodservice. Have a few deliveries to make, that I was hoping to have finished by 11-12, but found out that the truck won't be here till around 3. Oh joy!
Maybe I'll be able to run it down a little earlier and have an shorter work day than I currently fear.

Hanging out with some friends tonight, and shooting off some fireworks! Hope everyone has a great day.

    and....

Don't know if we are going to try to make a Parade or not. Some of us don't do the best in crowds and there is a lot of noise with every firetruck, police car, etc... running sirens and horns...

I think we are going to swing over the minor league park this afternoon and catch a game followed by fireworks this year instead of going to the normal spot.

I, for one, am looking forward to an annual tradition...

    Nathan's Famous Hotdog eating contest!

Kobiashi is competing again this year, but I think Chestnut can beat him.

Is this on TV or are you actually in Coney Island and the whole TX thing was a distraction?

nevermind - found it on ESPN.

we aren't getting out to the parade. I kind of guessed. So, I might as well put this on for now.

Joey Chestnut is an eating machine.

The second place guy has been steadily working his way up the ranks for the past few years, in another year or two he's going to be a real contender.

I was also really impressed with that 18 year old kid. Mark my words, we'll be seeing him do some amazing things in the years to come.

Yup... 2nd place guy really made the the contest more special with his red colored punch.

Yeah, he's been known to be kind of gimmicky. A few years back he came dressed up as Andy Kaufman's alter-ego.

Ever broken a razor?? I was straightening up the den and pulled out my old Parker 96R (my first razor). I had always had an issues with the doors getting lose while in use. Anyway, I was trying to see if I would get it a little bit tighter, and the handle snapped off! :shocked003
I guess the good news is if I had been forced to pick a razor to sacrifice that would have been my choice, but still hate to see it go. :sad029

Day started out good with the first time in I don't know how long I slept in past 0600. I loafed around the house reading the Den and a good book, went to see my folks and had some great BBQ and a piece of of the sweetest HOT Cherry Pie (Mmmmmmmmm)! Now kicking back and thinking about watching the rest of the 1st season of Dr. Who on Netflix.

    Very busy, but good day.

Went to the gym (down 8 lbs over the last 3 weeks), cut the grass (1.5 acre with a push mower), did laundry, grilled some goodness. Now I just have about an hour of work to do, then I can kick back until I have to drag my sorry butt to the gym in the morning.

Yup. I have over tightened a plastic DE, broken teeth off a cooper when trying to straighten, and broken a krona while trying to repair some uneven doors.
